Quick update on the dependents audit:
UVM continues to refuse to bargain with us on this issue. We’ve asked for some non-sensitive information to better understand which of our members are impacted by this audit which they have refused to provide based on confidentiality. Yet, they appear to have already furnished impacted members’ social security numbers to the company conducting the audit, as well as those of their dependents.
Furthermore, they’ve stalled on our grievance filing and our cease and desist letter. It is perfectly reasonable that many of us will want to wait until the university shares more or makes better commitments to protecting our information, but we still encourage everyone to gather the necessary documents to be prepared for the audit. Please reach out to us if you’re having or anticipate having difficulties gathering these documents. We also encourage everyone to take the following survey created by our friends at UVM Staff United:
