Hello Pack 85 Families,

Unfortunately, we need to cancel our Pack 85 Campout at Camp Eastman that was scheduled for this weekend, August 16–17. We had very low sign-up numbers, and the forecast is calling for extremely high temperatures, which would make camping uncomfortable and potentially unsafe for our Cubs and families.

We know this is disappointing, but we plan to try again at the Council event in October, and we hope many of you will join us then for a great fall camping experience.

The District Fishing Derby is still happening on the morning of Saturday, August 16 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center, so we encourage you to come out, enjoy some fishing fun, and represent Pack 85!

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you at upcoming Pack events.

Due to the predicted frigid temperatures, schools in our area have announced closures for tomorrow. Historically, we have followed suit by canceling Cub Scout meetings when schools are canceled.

As such, there will be no Cub Scouts tomorrow. Please stay inside, stay warm, and take care of yourselves and your families.

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you at our next meeting, February 4, 2025.

Ella is such a great help in the bear den (as always 😊) we sure appreciate all you do!
