These outstanding archers have accomplished one of the highest honors in Iowa S3DA by earning the title of **2026 Iowa S3DA Overall Shooter of the Year!**
This award isn't won in a single weekend; it is earned through months of dedication, consistency, and perseverance. That's what makes the Iowa S3DA Overall Shooter of the Year buckle one of the most prestigious honors in our program.
This prestigious award recognizes the most committed archers across **all three Iowa S3DA disciplines**—They dedicated themselves to the entire Iowa S3DA season by competing in all three disciplines: Indoor Target, Outdoor 3D, and Outdoor Target.
The winners receive the coveted **Iowa S3DA Overall Shooter of the Year Championship Buckle**, symbolizing months of dedication, perseverance, and excellence.

# # # 🏹 How is Overall Shooter of the Year earned?
Overall Shooter of the Year isn't based on one great tournament—it is earned over the course of an entire Iowa S3DA season.
To remain eligible, an archer must compete in the **same age division and equipment division** while completing:
✅ **At least 2 Indoor Regionals**
✅ **At least 2 Outdoor 3D Regionals**
✅ **At least 2 Outdoor Target Regionals**
✅ **All 3 Iowa S3DA State Championship Tournaments**
* Indoor State Championship
* 3D State Championship
* Outdoor Target State Championship
Archers **may switch equipment divisions once during the season**, but to remain eligible they must complete the required number of regional tournaments **plus all three State Championships** in the **same equipment & age division**.
# # # 📊 How are the winners determined?
Overall Shooter of the Year is based on an archer's **qualification placement** at each eligible tournament (before any shoot-downs or elimination rounds).
Each tournament placement earns points:
🥇 1st Place = **1 point**
🥈 2nd Place = **2 points**
🥉 3rd Place = **3 points**
..and so on.
At the end of the season, Iowa S3DA adds together each eligible archer's placement points from all required tournaments. The eligible archer with the **lowest total point score** in each division earns the title of **Iowa S3DA Overall Shooter of the Year**.
This scoring system rewards something every great champion possesses—**consistency & commitment**.
