👑🚫 NO THRONES. NO CROWNS. NO KINGS~Now Vote

On Saturday, October 17, our neighbors in Burleson are joining communities across the country for No Kings: Vote Early!

This nationwide day of action is about turning people power into voter participation ~ helping eligible voters check their registration, understand their voting options, make a plan, and get ready to VOTE.

🗳️ Early Voting in Texas begins Monday, October 19.

That means October 17 is the perfect time to:

✅ Check your voter registration
✅ Know where and when you can vote
✅ Make your Early Voting plan
✅ Help a friend, neighbor, or family member make theirs
✅ Get involved in protecting and strengthening voter participation

Democracy works when WE THE PEOPLE participate.

‼️PSA‼️

I unfortunately will not be in attendance at this protest due to other commitments however, please go out and use your voice to be loud and advocate for what is right! Remember this is a family friendly protest, DO NOT ENGAGE with counter protestors. If they are remaining peaceful and simply want to talk that’s fine however, if you don’t want to talk to them ask them politely to leave you alone. Stand tall and be loud Johnson County!!!

The next Burleson protest is on Sunday, June 14 -- Flag Day! Held in conjunction with the national events. On June 14 Americans will gather together all around the country to stand up and raise our voices in defense and celebration of our First Amendment rights. We'll counter-program the Traitor Tot's 80th birthday and the violent spectacle of a UFC fight on the south lawn of the White House. Bring your Stars & Stripes and your clever signs, and wear your red, white, and blue!

Organized by Johnson-Hill County Young Dems at our usual Burleson location, on the sidewalks and the grass in front of the John Jones Wells Fargo. 1-3PM

Hey everyone! The next Burleson protest will be the No Kings event on March 28th from 1-3 pm in front of the Wells Fargo off of John Jones on the sidewalk.

Feel free to share this flyer as we would love for as many people to be in attendance. Note that we will be on the sidewalk so wear some comfortable shoes! Please remember that this is a PEACEFUL protest! There will be families and children there who will be standing with us. PLEASE DO NOT engage with counter protestors. There will be individuals driving by and even coming into the crowd who don’t agree with us and that’s okay! We will stand tall and hold our composure as violence will not be tolerated.

Hello, Defenders of Democracy!

Thank you for braving the cold to join our recent protest in Burleson on January 31. Besides standing up for Democracy in a highly visible and colorful way (such great signs!) we collected more than 100 pounds of food and toiletries to donate to local food pantries including Crowley House of Hope and the East Cleburne Community Center. Thank you for your generosity.

Now we look ahead to NO KINGS III on March 28. We'll be at the same location, but we anticipate a much larger turnout. The previous No Kings protests have brought 600 to 900 people to Burleson to line the sidewalk five-deep, from the SW Wilshire corner all the way along John Jones Drive!

To manage an event of such size and ensure a great experience for all participants, we need volunteers. We’re building teams for crowd support, safety coordination, and clean‑up. If you’re ready to stand up for democracy once again and help our No Kings protest run smoothly, we’d LOVE your help.

If you can volunteer in any role -- as safety lead, crowd "roamer" (watching for points of friction), calmer-downer (to de-escalate tempers that flare), or a bringer of bottled water and trash bags -- we need you. Simple safety and security training will be available for you to take at your convenience online, via the national No Kings Alliance.

For more than a year, the weight of the Burleson protests has been carried almost entirely by Lex. We need your help and support as we look forward to a truly EPIC turnout on March 28.

If you can volunteer, please comment below so we can point you in the right direction.

We're postponing our Burleson protest and food drive until Saturday, January 31st. All the weather forecasts agree that this weekend's winter blast will bring hazardous road conditions and dangerously low wind chills.

Please take today to finish your cold-weather preparations. Stock up on necessary supplies while the weather remains mild, and see to your water pipes and outdoor faucets, etc.

Stay safe this weekend, and we will see you in Burleson on Jan. 31.

Hey everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR! Our first Burleson protest of the year will be on Saturday January 24th from 1-3 pm in front of the Wells Fargo off of John Jones on the sidewalk. We are asking that you bring any non-perishables so we can donate to the pantries within our communities.

Feel free to share this flyer as we would love for as many people to be in attendance. Note that we will be on the sidewalk so wear some comfortable shoes! Please remember that this is a PEACEFUL protest! There will be families and children there who will be standing with us. Additionally, please DO NOT engage with counter protestors. There will be individuals driving by who don’t agree with us and that’s okay! We will stand tall and hold our composure!

We won’t stop fighting for what is right!!

I hope to see you all there.
