Highline High School Alumni Foundation Announces Largest-Ever Scholarship Awards
The senior class at Highline High School got the good news at the Senior Assembly that the Highline High School Alumni Foundation will be awarding 25 scholarships to graduating seniors for their college education totaling a record $101,000.
The newest HHSAF scholarship is the "Tony Hayes/Classic Eats Culinary Arts" scholarship that – along with a $4,000 award – includes a paid internship at Classic Eats restaurant, a new chef's knife kit, and a new chef's jacket.
In 2025, Tony Hayes, owner and operator of Classic Eats, was named the 2025 Distinguished Alumnus by the HHSAF in recognition for his leadership while a student at Highline High School and in the Highline community. He wanted to find a way to "pay it forward" in his community and worked with the HHSAF to create this new scholarship that will be awarded each year to a graduating Pirate.
