They worked so hard yesterday!

They practiced. They listened. They learned. They exercised.

Most importantly they encouraged one another — with no pressure to look or act beyond their age.

They just simply got to be KIDS while discovering fun Together! 🌈💛

Building The Adventures of Ryan & Riley Children's TOY Marching Band & Choir has honestly been one of the HARDEST tasks we’ve taken on — but we are determined.

We know what we’re building is powerful.

The proof is in the video. ❤️

🙅🏾‍♀️ No competition
🙅🏾‍♀️ No pressure to look or act beyond their age

Just learning, exercising, building confidence, becoming leaders and simply being kids while discovering fun together!

One thing we’ve learned is that we can’t make the children come to us — so this week, we’re coming to them.

Watch this video with your child. 👀 If their eyes light up and they say, “I WANT TO DO THAT!” — and you’re a parent ready to support their participation — we want to meet you.

We are NOT looking for quantity. We are looking for QUALITY and COMMITMENT.

We’re going to build this band & choir… and if you know our Founder, you already know it’s going to happen. 😉🥁🎶

Knowing her, she’ll have these kids on the front cover of the Akron Beacon Journal by tomorrow! 😂📰

Your child may be excited. Your child may have talent waiting to be discovered — but they depend on YOU to get them to practice and give them the opportunity to show up.

Today, a few of our little ones stepped outside of their comfort zones and tried something they’ve NEVER done before! That’s what Ryan & Riley is all about — giving children opportunities to try, learn, grow, build confidence and discover something new about themselves.

The Adventures of Ryan & Riley Children's Programs WILL BE CANVASSING JOY PARK METROPOLITAN HOUSING!! 💜

We have found that transportation has been a big factor for many of our families being able to reach our events—so today, we’re bringing Ryan & Riley directly into the community!

We’ll be canvassing Joy Park Homes, meeting families and encouraging children to come out, get involved, and become part of the Ryan & Riley Children’s TOY Marching Band for the upcoming:

🥁 EAST AKRON LABOR DAY PARADE

We want our children to get out, get active, make new friends, build confidence and leadership, and have opportunities to be SEEN, HEARD, ENCOURAGED, SUPPORTED & CELEBRATED! 🌟

And because transportation matters, we’ll bring the instruments and equipment directly to Joy Park for rehearsal TOMORROW Saturday August 15th ! 🥁💜

Our Children's TOY Marching Band is getting ready for the Akron City Festival in Downtown Akron, so be sure to block your schedules so our lil band members can get to rehearsal! ⭐

Without you parents we have no band, without our little band ... We can't empower our future leaders... or our Community!!

Every child deserves to be seen heard and celebrated and this is the core of our mission!

🌈💛 Today, The Adventures of Ryan & Riley Children's Programs headed into the Elizabeth Park YMCA Community, where AMHA Residential Services were hosting Touch- A- Truck an event giving children an opportunity to explore real fire trucks and police vehicles! 🚒🚓

While the kids were having fun, we canvassed the area, talked directly with parents, and introduced families to our Ryan & Riley Children's TOY Marching Band. 🥁

And let's just say... the kids were EXCITED! 🙌🏾💜

Now it's time to turn that excitement into participation!
