WV Turkey Bash 2026 was one for the books.

36 gobblers harvested
160 registered hunters
And a whole lot of smiles

That’s what it’s all about.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, supported, donated, and helped make this day what it was. We couldn’t do it without you.

It’s go time. The best day of the year is finally here. 🦃

Quick rundown for everyone rolling in:

Vendors will start setting up around 8AM. If you tag a bird early, don’t rush home—come hang out, swap stories, or grab some breakfast on your way in.

Lunch fires up at 11AM, thanks to Ridge View Farms and Old Country Diner. 🍴

Awards and giveaways kick off at 12 noon sharp. All birds must be checked in by 12, and you’ve gotta be present to win. 🏆

We’ve also got a live demo from the WV DNR K9 team and a chainsaw carving show you won’t want to miss—with a message that matters.

Spectating is completely FREE. Lunch tickets and raffle entries will be available on-site. 🎫

Be safe tomorrow morning. Soak it in with your people.

We’ve got TWO insanely talented local businesses stepping up with some one-of-a-kind custom work for this year’s bash. 🦃

Nate's Nets - a familiar name around here, is back again, donating one of his handcrafted trout nets, features a built-in turkey call right in the handle. This piece is headed to the BIGGEST overall bird in the SENIOR division (ages 12–17).

And new to the scene, Final Flight Featherworks is bringing serious heat with a custom feather piece for the BIGGEST overall winner in the JUNIOR division (ages 5–11).

Some Serious art that takes real time, skill, and patience to create.

The hardware has officially arrived 🔥🏆

Custom trophies made by the NWTF’s own trophy craftsman, Mr. Brady himself… and they are next level.

Quick note, the age change for the Bash came in a little late and the trophies were already in production, so the ages listed are slightly off… but make no mistake, the idea stays the same:

Bragging rights are on the line.

We’ll be awarding custom WV Turkey Bash trophies to the Top 5 birds in each division:
🦃 Junior Division: Ages 5–11
🦃 Senior Division: Ages 12–17

That’s 10 trophies total going to some seriously deserving young hunters.

All birds will be officially weighed and measured on-site using NWTF standards by members of the Bash.

These aren’t just trophies, they’re something you’ll be proud to show off for a lifetime. 💪

Every kid registered for the WV Youth Turkey Bash is going home with an OFFICIAL event shirt AND hat 🇺🇸🦃

This year’s shirt features a big ol’ longbeard hanging off an I-81 sign, repping our stomping grounds the right way. Flip it over and you’ll see our 4 platinum sponsors who made this whole thing possible.

The Bartgis Family has generously donated an incredible experience. A 2-person Merriam’s turkey hunt in Coloradoon a private ranch bordering thousands of acres of hard-to-access public land.

This package includes:
• One Merriam turkey per hunter
• Trout fishing on one of the best rivers in the country 🎣
• Lodging and meals provided 🏠

This is a truly once-in-a-lifetime hunt.

🎟 Raffle Details:
• $10 per ticket

Spread the word this Easter lunch that we’re just 2 weeks out from the 3rd Annual WV Youth Turkey Bash! 🦃

We’re sorting through a massive pile of decoys, and the crew over at Dave Smith Decoys / DSD absolutely hooked it up. These are handsdown some of the best decoys on the market, and they sent a pile of them. 🔥

ALL of these sets will be hitting the goodie table, and several lucky youngsters registered in the hunt will be taking them home. 🙌

To get you fired up, here’s a look at Hafer’s Guns with HALF of the boom sticks we’ll be giving away to youngsters this year!

We can’t thank Tim and Becca at Hafers enough for taking a chance on the youth hunt the very first time we approached them. Truly wonderful people all around.

And don’t forget — you do NOT have to harvest a bird to win a gun! This event is about getting outdoors and making memories with dads, uncles, and pawpaws. (And moms)

Every registered youngster will receive a “Golden Gun” ticket for a chance to win one of nearly 40 boom sticks!

A big thank you to Trophy Treestands for hooking us up with some awesome blinds! 🔥

The 4th and 5th place winners in both the Junior Division and Senior Division will be taking home a brand-new blind along with their custom trophy. 🦃🏆

The rest of the blinds will be headed to the Goodie Table, giving youngsters a chance to win one whether they harvest a bird or not.

We love being able to reward these kids and keep them excited about the outdoors.
