Alana Williams the founder of Clothing Swap Georgia has always had her own unique style, mostly because all her clothing items were hand-me-downs or thrifted. There's nothing wrong with wearing used clothing, in fact it's actually so much better for the environment and your bank account. Swapping is a two fold benefit to humanity that we are bringing to as many cities in GA as we can! Organizers and volunteers may participate in the clothing swap under the same rules and limits as all other participants. No organizer or volunteer receives preferential access to donated items.

❤️ ONE MOM. ONE IDEA. ONE YEAR OF MAKING A DIFFERENCE. ❤️

Sometimes the biggest things begin with a simple question.

One year ago, I was thinking about how hard it can be for families to afford EVERYTHING. Groceries, rent, utilities, school supplies, shoes, clothes… it adds up FAST. 😩

I wondered how many other families were struggling to keep up. And I kept thinking about all the perfectly good clothing sitting unused in closets while other families needed exactly those things.

What if we could connect the two?

On November 3, 2025, Clothing Swap Georgia officially became a nonprofit. And now, ONE YEAR later, we're celebrating what this little idea has become. 🥹🎉

👕 10 free community clothing swaps
❤️ Hundreds of families helped
📦 Clothing shipped to 22+ families across Georgia
♻️ Countless pieces of clothing given another chance
🤝 Wonderful community members and local businesses who believed in us

But the numbers only tell part of the story.

The real impact is a parent being able to stretch the grocery budget. A child finding shoes that fit. A family getting what they need without worrying about the price tag.

THAT is why we do this. ❤️

💌 WHEN A FAMILY ASKS FOR HELP, WE WANT TO BE READY TO SAY YES.

Imagine reaching out for help getting clothing for your children and being told someone wants to help you, but they don't have the funds to ship it yet.

At Clothing Swap Georgia, we want to do everything we can to prevent that from happening.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that hosts monthly clothing swaps throughout Georgia. We also work to help families outside the areas we serve by shipping clothing directly to them when funding allows.

Unfortunately, our shipping fund is currently at $0.

We are asking our community to help us build a savings reserve specifically for shipping so that when a family reaches out, we can respond as quickly as possible.

📦 Shipping costs typically range from $6–$20 per box, depending on family size.

❄️ With winter approaching, we anticipate higher shipping costs as heavier coats and cold-weather clothing take up more room in each box.

Our hope is to have funds set aside so we can focus on helping families instead of scrambling to cover postage.
