✨ A Legacy in Bloom: Celebrating One Year of Joyce's Forever Closet Inc. ✨
Yesterday, at the Roswell Park Community Center, we celebrated something that started as a simple idea and grew into a movement of love, empowerment, and community support. We celebrated ONE YEAR of Joyce's Forever Closet Inc.
As I sit and reflect on yesterday, my heart is overflowing with gratitude. There were many late nights, early mornings, countless planning sessions, shopping trips, phone calls, and moments of exhaustion leading up to this event. I had a vision for how I wanted this celebration to look and feel, and if you know me, you know that when I have a vision, I am determined to bring it to life. Yesterday was everything I imagined and more. It was beautiful, meaningful, and filled with love.
Thank you to everyone who attended and celebrated with us. Your presence meant more than you know. To those who could not attend but still made a donation or sent words of encouragement, thank you for believing in our mission and supporting our work.
One of the most special moments of the afternoon was recognizing individuals who have stood beside me from the very beginning, those who answered the calls, listened to the venting sessions, volunteered their time, showed up when I needed help, and never stopped believing in this vision.
🏆 Backbone Support Award – Ms. Carrie
🏆 Volunteer Excellence Leadership Award – Ellann Ford
🏆 Silent Strength Award – Bianca Brown
🏆 Sunshine and Support Award – Denise Montgomery
🏆 Legacy of Love Award – My beautiful daughter, Nialah Moore
Each of these individuals has played an important role in helping Joyce's Forever Closet Inc. become what it is today. Thank you for your dedication, support, patience, and love.
I was also excited to share some wonderful news with those who attended regarding the future of Joyce's Forever Closet Inc. While our guests got a sneak peek, I promise the official announcement is coming soon, and I cannot wait to share it with all of you!
Over the past year, we have served women throughout our community with clothing, hygiene essentials, encouragement, resources, and hope. We may be a small organization, but we are mighty. We do the work we say we do, and our impact speaks for itself.
As we move into year two, I have so many dreams, goals, and visions for Joyce's Forever Closet Inc. However, I cannot do this work alone. We need community support. We need volunteers. We need board members. We need monthly donors. We need grant opportunities and funding partners who believe in empowering women and helping us continue this important work.
If you have ever wanted to get involved, now is the time. Whether through volunteering, serving on our board, making a monetary donation, donating clothing or hygiene items, or simply sharing our mission with others, your support makes a difference.
Joyce's Forever Closet Inc. was built from love, purpose, and the legacy of my late mother, Joyce Marie. Everything we do is rooted in honoring her memory while helping women feel confident, valued, and supported.
Thank you for an incredible first year. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for believing in this mission.
Now, I am going to take a short and much-needed break before getting back to work and preparing for what is next.
