Today was United Way of Buffalo & Erie County's ! They sent us some AMAZING volunteers, who made new walkways in our community garden! They laid down landscape fabric and poured gravel all around our garden beds. Not only does it look nice, but it will also make it easier for our volunteers and clients to maneuver in the garden. It also means less maintenance, as we no longer have to weedwack! This means we can focus our time and energy on what really matters: providing fresh food to those in need. THANK YOU for all your hard work today!!!

This week, we want to spotlight our Green Beauty Snow Peas! 🫛 As you can see in the picture, they naturally grab onto the trellises and grow upwards, no twine needed! We are so excited to watch them grow 🌱

M&T Volunteers came today to plant our entire community garden!! 5 hours and many hands made the work go by faster - such a fun time!

Join us for our 2nd annual: A Night in the Garden! Sit under the fairy lights in our beautiful community garden, now featuring various heirloom vegetables!

Enjoy mixed drinks (mocktails available) and some homemade hors d'oeuvres.

All proceeds from this event go to the Hope & Joy Food Pantry, which serves up to 1,300 people each month.
