We are so grateful for our extraordinary volunteers. Their commitment and hard work fuel everything we do — and we love celebrating them! 🎉

Thank you to our Board Chair, Charlie Fashana, Board Treasurer, Stephanie Tisdale, and Board Secretary, Laura Kirkpatrick, for taking time to relax and engage with our treasured volunteers, and stay grounded in the purpose of why we are altogether...in service for the greater good. Your presence makes an incredible difference. And Laura, thanks for bringing the personalized couch-shaped cookies. 🤗

Our Board members and volunteers together are what make UDFL truly special. Their shared dedication, heart, and commitment shape everything we’re able to accomplish.

We can't express enough just how much this work means to us and our community. Seeing happy children never gets old and giving caring parents peace of mind is truly priceless.

Our client expressed how difficult it was not having furniture and how embarrassed she was to invite family over. Not anymore. Plus, we filled the spaces with her favorite color pink.

After the Healthy Home Furniture Installation project was completed, seeing the mom and her mother, who was visiting, curled up on the loveseat and chaise was beautiful.They looked so cozy and comfortable.

Because of our incredible volunteers, donors of furniture and decor, and financial gifts from our community of supporters, we're able to carry out our mission; to restore hope by transforming empty spaces into homes. 💕

Thank you for helping us positively impact the lives of those living without their basic essentials. 🙌🏾

The deepest kind of service is the kind that meets people exactly where they are. No conditions. No expectations. No judgment. Just compassion that sees the whole person — their story, their struggle, their strength — and chooses to honor their humanity.

Sometimes things can get a little out of control—like the jungle of weeds behind our donation center. 👀

But thanks to the kindness of Lynne and Jay, the sister and brother‑in‑law of our treasured volunteer, Lisa, that overgrown space got the TLC it desperately needed.

They offered their time simply because they wanted to do something good for our community and for UDFL, and we are so grateful.They tackled those weeds like absolute pros, and now we can actually walk back there again!

Thank you, Lynne and Jay, for showing up with heart and helping us keep our space neat and tidy. 🫶🏾💪🏽

This week, our hearts are shining with gratitude for every opportunity we had to help others in need. There is something truly beautiful about coming together to lift someone up, to ease a burden, or to brighten a difficult day. Helping others is a celebration of humanity at its best, and we are honored to play a part in that joy.
