Northeast LMSA LMSA-Northeast is a 501(c)(3) student-run organization representing medical and allied health students from the Northeast region of the United States.

The Latino Medical Student Association-Northeast (LMSA-NE), formerly known as the National Boricua Latino Health Organization (NBLHO), is a Latino student group representing health professions students from the northeast region of the United States. Its mission is to recruit Latinos into higher education, educate the public and one another about Latino health issues, advocate for increased Latino representation in health related areas, and promote awareness about social, political and economic issues as they relate to Latino health. It also serves to create a support network for Latino students.

🍕 RAFFLE ALERT: Win a Kucht Venice Pizza Oven! 🍕

The Latino Medical Student Association is hosting a raffle to support La Alianza Health Kits! Every ticket helps us put together health kits filled with essential supplies for the community members we serve.

Anyone can participate! You don’t need to be a student or a member. Friends, family, and supporters near and far are all welcome to enter.

🎟️ Ticket prices:
1 ticket – $5
2 tickets – $8
3 tickets – $10
4 tickets – $12

This National Latino Physician Day, LMSA Northeast celebrates the Latino physicians, medical students, mentors, and future leaders who are changing the face of medicine. 🩺💙

Latinos make up a significant part of the communities we serve, yet remain profoundly underrepresented in medicine. Representation matters—in the exam room, in the operating room, in research, in leadership, and everywhere decisions about our communities are made.

Today, we celebrate how far we’ve come while recognizing how much further we have to go.

From growing up in a Hispanic neighborhood in Miami 🇨🇺🇱🇧 to becoming a reconstructive urologist serving Spanish-speaking patients in New York, Dr. Khouri’s journey reflects the power of representation, cultural connection, and mentorship in medicine.

Through his work in urologic reconstruction and his dedication to mentoring students across LMSA, Urology Unbound, and beyond, Dr. Khouri reminds us of the importance of opening doors for the next generation of Latino physicians. 💛
