September 11th, a day that is forever etched in our hearts, minds and souls. On this day, history was made, and our country was forever changed. We were reminded how vulnerable we are as well as our country. We as people and collectively as a nation were solemnly reminded that tomorrow is never promised that life is very delicate and fragile. Hundreds of innocent people lost their lives, and their families will never be the same. We remember, we pray, and we salute each of you for your courage, strength and bravery in the midst of your final moments and breaths. Through such a horrific act of hatred against our nation and the loss and devastation that accompanied it - we merged a stronger, more unified nation and a people of brotherhood and strength. We are Americans, we are loyal, undivided, relentless, passionate and strong. Let us all pray and continue to be a phoenix and ambassadors for our freedoms and as Americans let us be the example to the word of courage, love, respect, resilience and above all set the standard for all countries and their people to follow. Our love, thoughts and prayers are with each hero who lost their lives, their family and friends and each of you who make up our nation under God. God Bless America. We shall never forget and always remember in our own way.

Good morning Kaisertown - well hopefully another storm in the memory book, and that we are done with the snow accumulating. We all know this is easier said than done, but the "clean-up" crew and those were worked hard behind the scenes devising the plans need our patience. In talking with Mrs. Lombardo and Oswaldo about clearing the hardest hit areas was of great concern. I'm sure most are beyond frustrated and annoyed with the situation. We had two heavy snow falls back-to-back and then some. Now that we are down to the home stretch, patience and understanding is needed the most. The plan was to only move/tow vehicles to clear the streets and tow vehicles back to correct side of the street. Their plan was to try to utilize the parking lot of the Church of St. Casimir for the interim. People asked for help, [rightly so], and the process is currently underway. So, it appears many do not agree with the process of how the area is being cleaned up, the point truly is- it is being done. A major issue/concern was that vehicles were not only able to move from one side of the street to another, but the fact that people tried to drive, [even during the driving ban] as well after it was lifted and became stuck due to the volume of snow. Even funeral services could not take place as scheduled. These conditions affect us all and we will get through it- we always do!
