This past Saturday, the SCWB family, friends, supporters, Warriors, and community members came together for the 8th Annual Infinite Impact Walk for Sickle Cell Education. ❤️

As we honor National Sickle Cell Awareness Month, we continue to be a voice for Warriors who are still fighting, and we honor those who are no longer with us but remain forever in our hearts and in our mission.

We want to give a special THANK YOU to all of our staff and volunteers who worked tirelessly to help make this day a success. We are also grateful to our sponsors and vendors for standing with us and helping bring awareness, education, and support to our community.

And to everyone who donated to SCWB and supported our cause — THANK YOU! Your generosity, compassion, and belief in our mission are what help keep this organization moving forward.

This walk was about more than walking. It was about awareness. Education. Advocacy. Community. And IMPACT.

Today we celebrate the life, legacy, and birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Dr. King taught us that “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’”
In the spirit of service, unity, and love, we invite our community to turn his words into action. One powerful way to serve is by giving the gift of life through blood donation—especially for those living with Sickle Cell Disease who depend on lifesaving blood transfusions.

This January 19, The Red Cross of WNY and SCWB will celebrate MLK Day with a MLK Blood drive to help highlight the importance of donating blood and educating on the importance of knowing your Sickle Cell trait status. Join us for a great cause!
