What an absolutely incredible weekend! We are still smiling from ear to ear thinking about all the fun, laughter, and community spirit that filled our town over the last few days. Events like this don’t just happen—they take a village, and we have the best one around. We want to extend a massive, heartfelt thank you to everyone who made Bison Days such a huge success:

Join us for a fantastic conclusion to Bison Days! We have a full day of community, food, and fun planned for the whole family.

Here is the official lineup:
☕ 9:30 AM – Community Worship: Gather at Post Office Park for a special morning service. The Stompin Grounds coffee truck will be on-site serving up your favorite brews and morning refreshments!
🥞 10:00AM-12:00PM – BCVAC Brunch Fundraiser: Head over right after worship to support a great cause and enjoy a delicious brunch with neighbors and friends.
🍦 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM – History & Ice Cream: The Historical Society Museum will be open for regular tours. Bring your unique treasures down for our Antique Roadshow & Tell at 2:00pm, and cool off with a sweet treat at the Ice Cream Social!
🏓 6:00 PM – Pickleball Learn & Play: Wrap up the festival weekend at Lion's Park! Join us for a free pickleball lesson followed by an open learn-and-play session. All skill levels and ages are welcome.

Bring your lawn chairs, your appetite, and your competitive spirit. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

✨ SATURDAY AT BISON DAYS: Fun for the Whole Family! ✨

Get ready for an action-packed Saturday, July 25th! We have a full lineup of events packed with activities the kiddos will love (make sure to click to second image for a list of kids' activities and times), but there is plenty of fun tracking for the adults, too. Lace up your sneakers, bring your appetite, and come celebrate with us!

Here is some of what is happening throughout the day:
🏃‍♂️ Patriotic Fun Run/Walk: Kick off the morning moving! Throw on your favorite red, white, and blue gear and show off your patriotic spirit.
🛍️ Vendor & Food Market: Shop a fantastic variety of local vendors and grab some delicious lunch and snacks from our food trucks!
🧁 Cupcake Challenge: Check out the creative talent (and delicious treats) at our sweet competition!
🎯 Co****le Tournament: Bring your A-game and see who takes home the bragging rights.
💦 Free Swim: Cool off and make a splash with the kids at the pool!
🍰 Cakewalk: Try your luck at this classic game! Walk the numbers and you might win a delicious baked treat. Proceeds go to filling Santa's treat sacks for the Tour of Lights.
🔢 BINGO: Grab your lucky dauber and join the Winnebago County Fair fundraiser game for a chance to win some great prizes.
🍽️ Historical Society Dinner: Enjoy a wonderful community meal and support our local history buffs.
🎵 Music in the Park: Relax, unwind, and enjoy some great live tunes in the beautiful outdoors.
🚒 Fire Department Dinner & Dance: Cap off an amazing Saturday with delicious food and great music! Dance the night away while supporting our awesome local firefighters.

Unfortunately it is going to be a scorcher out there today, making it the perfect excuse to stop in at the Market to grab a delicious bite, take a break from the heat, and relax in the crisp, refreshing air conditioning.

FYT....the Fire Department Water BARREL Wars between the departments is still going on tonight at 7:45 as scheduled. But the waterball with the kids involved is postponed until tomorrow from 1-3. We apologize as we know this makes the kids' activities in the afternoon even more busy but it has always been enjoyed and so we still wanted to have this on the sachedule!

This was the only time it worked into the schedule - as the Buffalo Center Volunteer Fire Department has their big dance to prep for tomorrow as well! We hope to see everyone tonight for the water barrel wars, tomorrow for all the activitites, and tomorrow night at the Fire Department dance!

🦬 Bison Days Friday is here! 🦬

Get ready for an action-packed Friday filled with family fun, great food, and community spirit. Here is the official lineup so you don’t miss a single moment:

🍨1:00-3:00PM - Stop by Farmers Trust & Savings Bank for some delicious, free ice cream!
🎨 3:00 PM – Kick off the afternoon at the Lion’s Shelter! Drop by to make a cheer poster for our runners and show them some major community support. All supplies provided, just bring your creativity!
✨ 4:00 PM – Head over to get your face painted and look the part for the festivities ahead! Thank you to the Winnebago County Attorney's Office - Iowa for providing the face painting!
🍔 4:30-7:30PM – Skip cooking and grab a bite at the NIB fundraiser meal to support a fantastic cause. Free will offering!
🚜 6:00 PM – The annual Parade kicks off! The route starts by Bison Field and wraps up at Lion’s Park. (Bonus: Face painting will continue at the park right after the parade!)
🏆 7:00 PM – Gather round for the Brian Hobbs Memorial Games. Come ready to play or cheer!
💦 7:45 PM – Cool down and wrap up the night with the high-energy Fire Department Water Wars.

Bring your lawn chairs, your family, and your Bison pride. We can't wait to see everyone there! 🎉

🍝 Support Local History: BC Historical Society Fundraiser Dinner This Saturday! 🍝

Skip the cooking this coming Saturday and head over to the Heritage Town Center for the Buffalo Center Historical Society annual fundraiser dinner!

Here is what is on the menu:
The main attraction: Build your own perfect plate at the fully stocked fresh salad bar!
Hot & hearty: Enjoy delicious spaghetti, warm bread, and refreshing drinks.
Sweet treats: Finish your meal with a tasty dessert.

History on display: The Historical Museum will be open before, during, and after the meal from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Come explore the exhibits!

📅 When: Saturday, July 25th from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM
💰 Cost: Only $8 a plate
