DECA will start collecting items for residents at Magnolia Manor, which is the nursing home here in Buena Vista. This is the "Adopt-A-Grandparent" Gift Drive. Attached is the flyer with a list of items that can be donated. The deadline to turn in items is December 10. This is the 3rd year that DECA has hosted the drive, and it is a great experience for both the students and the residents. Items can be dropped off with Mrs. Butler, the front office, or the Dime Store.

Such a great turnout for the DECA Silent Auction at the Rural America Festival. With the generous donations and bids, we were able to reach our goal. Also, a huge thanks to the DECA volunteers and Cody Currington and Ronnie Simmons for their support.

Stop by the Marion County DECA tent to bid on some awesome items at our Silent Auction at Rural America. The Silent Auction will be held from 9a-1p and pickup will be from 1p-3p. All money raised will help students pay for DECA competitions. Thank you to everyone who generously donated!

I have not had any response to the silent auction. If you are able to get a donation, I will give 1-5 hours of community service depending on the donation. Remember, donations must be new (not used). They can be gift cards, gift baskets, homemade items, and etc. I will not be here Monday, Thursday, or Friday of next week, so if I will need donations by Wednesday, or need to know when you have dropped off the donation. Thank you!
