For those that have asked and for those who are wondering:

We regret to inform you that for the first time in MANY, MANY years we are not hosting our Annual Christmas Potluck this year.

Why?
We use this event as a thank you for all or our volunteers and suppoerters throughout the year as alwell as a general get together to just relax, enjoy company and meet some industry folks without the competition for customers and craziness of a show or event.

This year we had our date scheduled but the opportunity for 2 different shows presented themselves for the same weekend and our supporters who are reptile vendors had the ability to add a pre-Christmas show to make some last minute money. We would never interfere with their business and livelihood nor did we want to add more to an already busy month so we did not move our date, we made the EXTREMELY hard decision to cancel this year's event.

But don't fret, we WILL return to the event next year and we will make it HUGE!

For now, you can come see us and nearly 200 animals looking for a Christmas Miracle of finding their forever homes at the Central Valley Reptile Expo San Bernardino at the National Orange Show Events Center .

Today was the viewing for our friend, our family member, or resident celebrity David Silva aka Beiber.

To know him was to love him. He was a special young man.

For those that are interested there will be a service in San Dimas on December 30th from 4pm - 7pm. Contact us for the information we're hoping many that loved him will attend to shoe him and his family support.

Not the way to start the day, for those of you that have been with the for a while, you should know David Silva , our Justin Beiber!
I received the very devastating and literal heartbreaking news that he passed away yesterday. I just spoke with him a few days prior about his beloved dog eating the walls of his trailer and he tried to call me Tuesday while I was at the hospital with Danielle.
Many don't know that he was like a third son to me, he battled MANY demons and with lots of effort and work he had gotten his life together. He was doing construction and currently happy in HVAC work.
We had such a blast between his Water Monitor , signing $100 bills with his Beiber moniker, to his first adult club, to various reprile events. He was a great kid that literally loved life.
This loss hurts bad, Beibs you will be missed by so many, I'm sorry I couldn't take your call Tuesday!

You know, always says "Be a friend, tell a friend something nice it might change their life." If we add in listen to a friend and check on a friend it makes that comment even better.

Check on your friends and family, listen to and for them, don't hold a grudge or worry about things you can't control, stop being angry at stupid s**t and life would be so much better. Enjoy this short time we have here!!

You will be missed, but never forgotten!

Last night we received of the worst calls from our friends Justin and Jasmine of Patriotic Exotics. We're over 2.5 hours away from them and their house, barn, rat room, snake room and rabbit room were engulfed in flames. Fortunately, the 2 of them are ok and safe, but over 400 snakes and numerous other animals were not so lucky.

The total loss included all their personal belongings, 2 vehicles, their snake and rodent business, their dogs and cats as well as lots of our rescue animals, all of our large ambassador snakes, all of their quail , some ducks, chickens and numerous rabbits and guinea pigs. Their horses and goats were saved as well as majority of their hens.

This was a grim reminder of what could've been for us when our fire hit a couple years ago and is a scary thought. It seems that the fire started in the house not in the snake or rodent room.

We'd like to thank all the firefighters (6 trucks) for saving what animals they could with the wind and layout of the large property. We're thankful you're all sage and are able to return to your families.

We will be putting together some sort of fundraiser to help these amazing people, those of you that know them know that they are 2 of the most giving and thoughtful people out there. They do so mich for others it's time we tried to do for them.

Can anyone guess which popular attraction is returning to Knott's Berry Farm for another season of not-so-spooky fun? Our team loves being part of this event, as it offers a unique chance to display our animals to a large and enthusiastic crowd. We extend our gratitude to everyone who has contributed to our ongoing involvement by sharing their thoughts with Knott's Berry Farm staff. We are eager to introduce some novel surprises for the 2025 Spooky Farm season. Be sure to come visit beginning September 25.

We are proud to announce that the last animal we had in foster from the fires has been returned to her family. We're very happy that we were able to help out a number of folks with their animals. Its great to hear that they are starting the rebuild process or they have been able to establish a new residence. Let's hope something like this doesn't happen again. Thank you to those that helped us make this process possible!
