Last Sunday, the P*e Wee Red girls took on Montville at home and came away with a 39-6 victory! The offense and defense were both doing their parts to help secure the win.

The defense came away with 4 interceptions on the day. Maya Radzieski and Zoe Wroblewski each returned an interception for a touchdown while Emma Freund and Gianna Gagliardi also had interceptions. There were clutch flag pulls made by Emily Toto and Gianna Sosa to keep the Montville offense at bay.

On offense, the girls were able to get the running game going with long touchdown runs by Zoe, Gianna, and McKenna Neidhardt as well as some good running by Emily Soszynski. Faced with a broken play in the backfield, Gianna found Zoe on a long pass for another touchdown.

The P*e Wee Red girls will look to finish the regular season strong against Hackettstown, this weekend.

The Marauders Super P*eWee Central Conference team took on High Point Monday night at Skull Rock Field and came away with a convincing victory. The Marauders needed just two plays to take the lead and never looked back. The opening drive featured Thomas Sica connecting with Cameron Kazan on a screen pass, with Kazan picking up 35 yards after the catch. Parker Zabriski capped the drive with a 24-yard jet sweep around the edge for a touchdown. The other offensive scores came from Marquette Williams, who broke loose for a 30-plus-yard touchdown on a reverse, and a 35-yard touchdown pass from Thomas Sica to Hudson Schriever. Logan Fritschy, Brandon Schall, and Thomas Sica each added extra points.
The defense was disruptive throughout the night, limiting High Point to under 60 yards on the night. Logan Fritschy led the defensive effort and earned Player of the Game honors after recording multiple tackles for loss. Isaiah Giusti also made an impact, doing a great job of containing High Point’s outside runs and filling gaps behind the defensive line. The final play of the game ended with Ryan Ruiz intercepting a pass and returning it 30 yards for a pick-six. The Marauders now look forward to a rematch against Twin Boro, a team they defeated on the final play of their previous meeting.

The Mount Olive Marauders Girls Clinic Black Flag Football team continued to show tremendous growth this past Sunday, battling a talented Wayne team with just one loss on the season in a hard-fought 18–12 contest!

Offensively, Avery Schriever broke free for a huge touchdown run, her first of the season, while Riley McConnell found the end zone for the second consecutive week with another impressive long touchdown run! Schriever also converted a crucial fourth-and-three, while Adriana Monaco contributed several strong rushing plays.

Defensively, the Lady Marauders were outstanding, stopping Wayne on all three two-point conversion attempts! Alina Jimenez led the charge with nine flag pulls, including a conversion stop, while Monaco and Schriever also made critical stops to deny the other two conversion attempts. Charlotte Pellek provided disciplined play at safety, while Jasmine Candido and Kimberly Louise continued battling hard defensively.

Eliza Bernstein and Kylee McColligan were excellent handling the snapping duties, delivering clean snaps throughout the game. McColligan also contributed with strong defensive blitzing, while Olivia Romero added several rushing attempts offensively. Improved blocking and teamwork helped produce the team’s two big touchdowns!

What makes this team’s progress even more impressive is that Clinic Black is arguably one of the youngest teams in the league, with a roster made up almost entirely of second graders competing week after week against teams consisting primarily of third and fourth graders. Despite the differences in age, size, and experience, these girls never back down, giving everything they have from the opening whistle to the final play. Their heart, determination, and tremendous growth throughout the season have been remarkable!

The girls return to action Saturday, October 31, at 10 AM at Skull Rock for a Halloween matchup against fellow Mount Olive team Clinic Red! 🎃🏈

Rumble Drops Their First Game of the Season 6-0

The MO Rumble boys fought hard all game but ultimately suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday against Wayne. The team was led by their defense, who shut down Wayne for most of the game, giving up just one touchdown and preventing their opponent from converting their only extra point attempt as well as making multiple stops on 4th down to give the offense a chance to get the game tying score.

The MO offense struggled to find consistency moving the ball. From the first snap, the stout defensive front of Wayne disrupted the offense and kept them from finding their groove and sustaining any drives. The Marauders were able to complete a few passes along the way, but it was not enough.

On defense, Player of the Game John Sybesma led the team with a ridiculous 13 tackles and a fumble forced. Tucker Bolen recorded 8 tackles, including 1 for loss. Devin Smith, Aaron Mateo, Brayden Offerding, and Ryan Nicoli each contributed 3 tackles as well. John Graves had one pass breakup.

The Rumble boys will look to bounce back next weekend and finish strong at home in their last game of the season against Rockaway.

The Girls Clinic Red came out ready to play against a one loss Montville team and came away with a 25-12 victory, moving their record to a very impressive 6-1. The girls were in a back and forth battle in the first half exchanging Touchdowns on each of their first drives. Long touchdown runs were scored by Cassidy Vorst and Taylor TIllotson. The defense buckled down in the second half and would not allow a single point. TIllotson, Milania Lomuscio and Penelope Mora were impenetrable on the outsides at the cornerback position pulling what seemed like a combined two dozen flags! Marlie Sangster was very impressive pulling multiple flags and rushing 5 times for over 40 yards. Mora made the most of her carries churning out some hard fought yardage in the run game. Vorst and TIllotson each added a second touchdown to their ledger in the second half to pull away. The blocking was phenomenal all day up front and on the outsides including key blocks by Demi Velez, Jaylynn Rodwell, Alexa Tatarenko, Brielle Wroblewski, Elise Halm, Mora, Tillotson and Lomuscio. Wroblewski, Halm and Velez each had a few carries and gained respectable yardage against a very tough Montville defense. They also would each end the day with 2 flag pulls a piece. Aaliyah Bailey had 100% great snaps all day at the Center position and contributed defensively with a couple flag pulls herself. This was a complete team effort! Each of the girls contributed in their own ways whether it was selflessly blocking, running the ball, or pulling flags. The coaches and parents couldn’t be more proud of the girls and they continue to raise the bar. The sky’s the limit for this team. They’ll be back in action Halloween morning, 10am at Skull Rock against the Clinic Black team for their last game of the season.

The Clinic Marauders battled until the final whistle but came up short against the Wayne Panthers, falling 13-0. While the scoreboard tells one story, it doesn’t come close to capturing the heart, grit, and determination this team showed on the field!

Yards were hard to come by against a tough Panthers defense, but the Marauders refused to back down. The offense scratched and clawed for every yard, fighting for every inch and continuing to battle until the end.

Jack Bolen led the rushing attack with 76 yards on just 7 carries, continuing to give the Marauders a spark offensively.

The defense was absolutely lights out! The Marauders kept the game within reach well into the fourth quarter, delivering a relentless effort against a tough Wayne offense. Matthew Nowakowski led the way with 8 tackles, including 3 tackles for loss, consistently disrupting the Panthers’ attack. Jack Bolen turned in a tremendous two-way performance, recording 7 tackles and 2 pass breakups. His biggest breakup came just before halftime, keeping the score at 7-0 heading into the third quarter! Zach Miller finished with 5 tackles, including 1 tackle for loss. After moving from inside linebacker to outside linebacker, Zach didn’t miss a beat, stepping up wherever the team needed him! Gunner Passafiume locked down his side of the field at cornerback, setting the edge and refusing to give the Panthers any room to break loose down the sideline. Gunner finished with 4 tackles, including 1 tackle for loss! Elijah James and Anthony Richards added 3 tackles apiece, making their presence felt in the defensive battle. Jayden Deryce, Eesa Chaudhary, Chris Donnelly, Nico Evans, Gio Calvay, Morgan Grimes, and Nick Kacmarcik all played important roles in keeping the Marauders in the fight.
