Our mission is to support first responders in beginning or furthering their careers with educational scholarships as well as serve the widows and children of fallen first responders with select financial aid.

Chatham County Fire Department extends its deepest condolences to the members of the Searsmont Fire Department in Maine following the tragic loss of a firefighter this morning. While crews were responding to a silo fire at a lumber mill, an explosion occurred that claimed the life of one firefighter. Our thoughts and prayers are with the firefighter’s family, fellow responders, and the entire community during this difficult time.
