On our Lions Club page, we’d love to share something truly heartwarming. One of our members, who wishes to remain anonymous, feels he’s been blessed with a special gift: a true calling to farming. This year, he grew an incredible abundance of crops, especially beautiful tomato plants. Wanting to give back, he lovingly potted each plant and donated them to the Buchanan Presbyterian Church food pantry. Thanks to him, families receiving food also get the gift of growing their own fresh veggies. It’s a beautiful reminder that we have truly generous, humble hearts among us. We’re so grateful for people like him 🌱🍅!

🚑🦁 Buchanan Lions Club Helping the Community! 🦁🚑

This past Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, members of the Buchanan Lions Club were proud to assist with a community yard sale benefiting the Carson Rescue Squad Building. The fundraiser was held to help support building repairs and maintenance, ensuring the Rescue Squad can continue providing vital services to our community.

The yard sale was a great success, serving approximately 50 shoppers throughout the event. Thank you to everyone who donated items, volunteered their time, and came out to support this worthwhile cause.

When organizations come together to support one another, our entire community benefits. We are grateful for the opportunity to help and look forward to continuing to serve alongside other community partners.

Today, a few members of the Buchanan Lions Club partnered with Standing Room Only to lend a hand with demolition work at the Buchanan Theatre as part of its exciting renovation project.

The improvements being made will help the theater expand its offerings and continue serving as a valuable cultural and entertainment destination for our community. We were proud to roll up our sleeves and support this effort to preserve and enhance one of Buchanan's treasured landmarks.

A big thank you to Standing Room Only for the opportunity to help. We look forward to seeing the finished project and all the great things it will bring to our town!

Today, members of the Buchanan Lions Club were honored to assist with the Buchanan Presbyterian Church Food Pantry. Together, we helped serve more than 47 families in our community.

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with organizations that make such a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors. Thank you to the dedicated volunteers, donors, and supporters who help make this outreach possible.

🚮🦁 Buchanan Lions Club Highway Cleanup Success! 🦁🚮

This evening, members of the Buchanan Lions Club came together for our biannual Adopt-A-Highway cleanup, and what a great evening of service it was!

Our dedicated volunteers collected approximately eight full 30-gallon bags of trash along our adopted stretch of roadway. While eight bags may sound like a lot, we're actually encouraged by the numbers. In previous years, we've collected anywhere from 10 to 13 bags, so seeing less litter each year is a positive sign that our community is taking better care of our beautiful surroundings.

Keeping Buchanan clean is about more than picking up trash... It’s about taking pride in our community, protecting the environment, and living out the Lions motto: "We Serve."

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers who gave their time this evening. Your hard work helps make Buchanan a cleaner, safer, and more beautiful place for everyone.
