Well… Meatloaf came and Meatloaf WENT. 😂 This handsome little Frenchie barely had time to unpack his bags before his forever family said, “Yep, that one. He’s ours.”

Our chunky little Meatloaf now lives in a big ol’ house with the SWEETEST family, and we have a very strong suspicion that he is about to be absolutely, positively, disgustingly ROTTEN. 😂👑

From landing in the shelter after a really unfortunate situation, to coming into rescue and showing us what a genuinely sweet, goofy little guy he is… Meatloaf deserved a family who could see past his history and love the dog standing right in front of them.

And boy, did he find them. 🥹

Happy tails, Meatloaf! Go enjoy your big house, your new family, and what we can only assume will be an unreasonable number of snacks.

We may have committed the ultimate rescue crime and forgotten to get an adoption photo… but we promise, Bunga has officially left the building. 😂

Our sweet little orange boy is HOME with his forever family and starting the good life he deserved all along. From coming to us out of an overcrowded situation to finally landing somewhere he can be loved, spoiled, and treated like the tiny king he is, we couldn’t be happier for him.

Meet Cavender, Murdoch, Cabela & Ariat — four little Heeler mix tumbleweeds who have officially blown into Cactus Ranch Rescue. 🐾

These sweet babies were rescued from the Austin, Texas area after being found by a resident. Their first chapter was a little more wild, wild west than any puppy deserves. They’ve had a rough start, but these tiny cowpokes are TOUGH. They survived it, they’re safe, and now they’re settling into foster care where the only cattle they’ll be wrangling for a while are stuffed ones. 😂🐄

They’re sweet as Texas tea, cute as a button on a pearl-snap shirt, and just beginning all of their puppy vetting. Vaccines, deworming, prevention, microchips and plenty of good groceries are on the agenda while they grow big and strong. 🌵

These four ARE AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ADOPTION NOW! 🏡

They still have a few weeks of vetting ahead of them before they can actually ride off into the sunset with their forever families, but there’s no reason we can’t get those families lined up now. We would LOVE for each of these babies to finish their vetting knowing their next stop is HOME. 🤎

Our sweet Ivy Mae is officially one of our longest-stay dogs, and we truly cannot understand how this girl is still adoptable.

She came to us as a young pup after ending up on a euthanasia list, and she has now spent far too much of her puppyhood waiting for someone to finally say, “that’s my girl.” 🥺

Ivy Mae is fully vetted, ready to go home, and her adoption fee is HALF OFF in hopes that the right person finally sees her.

She is sweet, playful, affectionate, and still has that goofy young-dog energy that makes every day a little more entertaining. She has grown up so much while in rescue, but what she really needs now is a family of her own to grow with.

No more waiting. No more watching other dogs get picked first.

Lord have mercy… Mattie is GORGEOUS. 😭💗

This teeny tiny 10-year-old Yorkie mix is an absolute doll baby, and she has one very important requirement for her future family: you must be willing to hold her approximately 24 hours a day. 😂

Mattie wants to be in your arms, in your lap, tucked against your chest, or anywhere else that allows her to be as close to her person as physically possible. She is sweet, gentle, affectionate, and truly just one of those little dogs that makes you want to carry her around like a baby all day.

And the best part? Mattie is fully vetted and READY TO GO HOME! 🏡🐾

She may be 10 years old, but this tiny girl still has so much love left to give. She deserves a soft bed, endless snuggles, and a forever person who thinks being permanently attached to a miniature Yorkie sounds like a pretty good deal.

🚨 INCOMING: Approximately 5 pounds of Chihuahua. 🚨

This tiny man came into Cactus Ranch Rescue yesterday, and when we say tiny… we mean 5 pounds tiny. 🥹🌵

He’s around 3 years old, and while we don’t know much about his backstory yet, we do know that somehow this itty-bitty guy ended up sitting in a shelter down in the Valley. And judging by the nails that are approximately the length of a standard school ruler 😭😂, we’re guessing a good nail trim and a little TLC are LONG overdue.

Thankfully, he doesn’t have to worry about shelter life anymore. ❤️ camodogrescue graciously helped coordinate his transport for us, and as of today, this little nugget is SAFE and officially joining the CRR crew!

First order of business: ✂️ those talons.
Second order of business: a full medical evaluation, vaccines, prevention, microchip, and figuring out exactly what this tiny gentleman needs.

We’ll share more once he arrives, gets settled into foster care, and we get to know his personality. For now, we’re just thankful that another little Valley shelter dog gets a fresh start. 🥹
