Make A Stand Bully Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue that strives to end canine neglect and build a bully-breed loving society through adoption programming and advocacy efforts. We envision a society where responsible dog ownership is expected and bully breeds are accepted. All adoptable MAS Bully Rescue dogs live in foster homes prior to their adoptive placement. We work with our foster

families on finding the right foster fit for their homes and then provide all necessary supplies; fund all veterinary care; and ensure each dog has what he/she needs to thrive, while we carefully screen for the right adoptive home. Whether you’re looking for a puppy, adolescent, adult or senior bully breed, MAS Bully Rescue can help you find the right fit. All of our dogs are fully vetted and live in foster homes, so we can ensure the right match is made between each of our dogs and their adoptive families. Browse our “avail-a-bulls” and send us a message to learn more about how to adopt that special furry friend!

🎉🎉CONGRATS, CREED!!!!🎉🎉

While we were shocked it took so long for Creed to find a loving, forever family - I mean, come on! Look at him!! - we strongly believe that good things come to those who wait... and what a GREAT thing it is to spend the rest of his life with the Cervantes Family! Mom Cristina first reached out to our program around the time we welcomed Aelin into our program. As a medical professional, she was interested in potentially fostering (and maybe even adopting) Aelin, to help her get through her medical recovery. At the time that we welcomed Aelin into our program, she had (and still has) a committed foster who has been in our family for YEARS... but then Cristina dropped a little breadcrumb that we snatched up QUICKLY - she had also been eyeballing Creed in our program, with the hope that he may be a good fit for their home (permanently), but didn't know if we were already drowning in applications. And while it was to our surprise that Creed was very much still available... it was at this moment that we knew: Creed was just waiting for his perfect family to come through! 🥹 After getting all the ducks (and foster kittens, lol) in a row, his new family met up with our team to meet and take home Creed... and it's like he's been a member of the family since the day he was born. 🥰 UGH we just LOVE happy endings for the dogs in our program - it is so well deserved, each and every time! Congratulations, Creed - you have landed an AMAZING family and we can't wait to watch you grow up so loved and cherished!

Fenix has FUR (and color)! OhMyDog! We can't believe this is even the same dog from a few weeks ago - he looks remarkably improved, already. THIS is just one of many positive outcomes that occur when you support . Thank you for helping us save and change lives... YOU are making a difference! 🥹

Please help us find a forever family for Zadie. She was born just before rescue to mama Montana back in FEBRUARY. Her family was welcomed into our rescue before their eyes were even open and, as of today, all but mama, Zadie, and Briar have been adopted. It really upsets us that these girls are still available. While we have applicants excitedly going through the process for mama... we have had nothing - literally, NOTHING - for Zadie or Briar. And every day that passes without an application in hand, is another day the girls are growing up in foster. That's not how it should be. Zadie is an incredibly social, playful, and smart little puppy. She is a regular attendee at doggie daycare and is making all sorts of friends. She is being fostered in the greater Houston, Texas area, but can be adopted anywhere in the state (and even nationwide). If you're interested in adopting, GREAT - please reach out! And if you can't at this time, please at least share her sweet face - you truly never know who might see the post and feel a connection!

We’ve had Hurley for a week now and - would you believe it - have NOT been slammed with applications?! Hurley is a 3 year old French Bulldog currently fostered in the greater Houston area. He is good with dogs and children. Hurley is neutered, vaccinated, (mostly) potty trained and kennel trained. He’s just the cutest little guy and he’s ready for a forever family!

Sweet Royal has been in our program for almost 8 months; but her story goes back several years, prior to joining us in rescue. In fact, Royal was adopted from a Houston-area animal shelter as a younger pup, only later to be dumped in shoddy physical condition and with severe apprehension towards other dogs. Aside from needing to be an only pet, Royal is an easy dog. She doesn't ask for much and is a very friendly, laid back girl. She loves toys. She loves to lay on the couch. She loves to cuddle and watch movies. She loves kiddos. She is an easy girl. She just needs someone who understands her need to be the only pet and advocate for her out in public settings (like the vet clinic). It's a disservice to Royal that she hasn't been adopted yet. Please help us, help get Royal home?

🩶🖤🩵CONGRATS, MORI!!!!🩵🖤🩶

Well... we more than alluded to this outcome in Lilypad's adoption post... and we're thrilled to share that Mori is HOME with her foster-turned-adopter, Averi! Averi has been a member of our family for many, many years, having fostered for our program and adopted once before - and even supporting the agency through volunteer work on occasion! Well, when Averi first found Mori at her family's business, she never expected Mori to stay... forever. But now that she is, none of us could have imagine ANY outcome different! We finally received a stellar adoption application for Mori, and we were excited to proceed (and we did... just with a different puppy), when we received a panicked message from mama Averi that...well...she just didn't know if she could part with Mori. After thinking it over for 48 hours (and discussing with her family), the decision was made: Mori was home, all along. And while this likely means we're losing Averi as a foster mom (at least for now), we're excited that Mori never has to settle into a new home, ever again; and that she'll stay with the people who found her and loved her, from the very beginning. 💜 Congratulations, Averi and Mori (and Twinkle!) - we are SO happy for you all!

🎉🎉CONGRATS, LILYPAD!!!!🎉🎉

Lilypad - now named Nymeria - is off the market and in her forever home! When Belen and Kayez first reached out to adopt, they applied for Mori (another blue pittie puppy in our program); but were open to hearing about the other potential fits for their home and, after the phone interview, were excited to meet all three of the girls - Lilypad, Trixie, and Mori. And we were SO grateful that they were open to meeting more than just Mori... because her foster adopted (lol, that's a post scheduled for another time!). So they drove in from out of town to do a meet and greet and playdate with the two remaining Toy Story puppies and it was very clear, very quickly, that Nymeria (Lilypad) was "the one" for them! We are so excited for Nymeria to start her new life in her new home with her amazing family; and we can't wait to watch her grow up and receive ALL the updates! What a special little girl she is, and we are so happy her family saw that in her, too. 🥹 Congratulations, Nymeria - love looks SO good on you!

Oh.My.Dog. 😭🫶🏼 YOU GUYS!!!!!! You have NO idea how incredibly special this moment is for us! When Renata first entered our program back in the spring with her “Italian Roots” litter, she made it pretty clear that she had no interest socializing with others. We couldn’t tell if she was downright “aggressive,” just fearful, needed time, or a combination of all the above. She had her spay and some cosmetic procedures done with a rough recovery period, which set back our ability to socialize her even more - we needed her healed first. Well… after seeing some signs that she might actually be “ok” with the right dogs, we decided to do a little experimenting this evening. We know (from our history) that mama dogs with reactive personalities oftentimes are “ok” with puppies - and from there we slowly increase the size of dog and try different personalities to help build positive associations with socializing. So tonight… in the safety of a large fenced in yard… we let mama meet our Coffee Trio (why they’re all still with us… we don’t know 🥺) AND YALL!!!! Look at our GIRL!! Not only is she relaxed and happy, but she’s demonstrating comfort in playing. This is a HUGE win for Renny (and our program). We will continue to build positive social skills for Renny - slowly - but, this makes us think that maybe… JUST MAYBE… she could potentially be placed in a home with the right other dog(s). 🫶🏼🎉

🎉🎉CONGRATS, POSEY!!!!🎉🎉

Well if this isn't the cutest (and most relaxed) picture we've ever seen... we don't know what is! The Johnson Family first reached out to us in the fall of 2025, interested in potentially adopting from our program. They put their application file and wanted to watch the dogs we welcomed into our program, waiting for their kiddos to get a little bit older. Close friends of other beloved adopters of our program, they knew they wanted to adopt from us, if possible (and if we had the right fit). When they inquired on Posey earlier this summer, we felt it in our hearts that she could be "the one." They drove in to do a meet and greet with their children - to ensure she was comfortable with them and vice versa - and they left without her, wanting to think it over and get an initial summer trip out of the way before committing to bringing a new dog home. After they discussed it as a family - to weigh everyone's feelings and opinions! - they excitedly reached back out to let us know they, too, felt Posey was the one for them! 💜 And when we tell you a dog has NEVER looked back to rescue life... she could be the poster child! Because this girl entered her new home and fell totally in love with the kiddos at home... and hasn't looked back to her days in the rescue... not even once. 🫶 Congratulations, Posey - you were MADE to be a child's best friend, beautiful girl!

We are so appreciative of Scenthound for always showing up for us and our program. Scenthound has been a sponsor of our Bully Bash and daily programming for several years, and we look forward to partnering with them again this fall!

This one's close to our hearts. 💛 The best way we know to celebrate National Dog Month is to show up for the dogs still waiting on their person. So this month, let's make it count.

Here's the plan: this month, do one thing for a dog in need. 🌠 Support a shelter, help out a rescue, or find someone here who could use a hand.

🐾 Rescues and shelters: tell us who you are and how people can support you.
🐾 Want to help: comment how you'd like to pitch in.

Then take a scroll through the comments. Someone in here needs exactly what you've got. Let's show up for the ones still waiting. 🤍

Happy birthday to every rescue out there, and here's to all dogs, everywhere!
