Make A Stand Bully Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue that strives to end canine neglect and build a bully-breed loving society through adoption programming and advocacy efforts. We envision a society where responsible dog ownership is expected and bully breeds are accepted. All adoptable MAS Bully Rescue dogs live in foster homes prior to their adoptive placement. We work with our foster

families on finding the right foster fit for their homes and then provide all necessary supplies; fund all veterinary care; and ensure each dog has what he/she needs to thrive, while we carefully screen for the right adoptive home. Whether you’re looking for a puppy, adolescent, adult or senior bully breed, MAS Bully Rescue can help you find the right fit. All of our dogs are fully vetted and live in foster homes, so we can ensure the right match is made between each of our dogs and their adoptive families. Browse our β€œavail-a-bulls” and send us a message to learn more about how to adopt that special furry friend!

After months of waiting in our program for an adoptive home, something finally seemed promising! But... as it often does... the trail of communication went cold and Cooper has found himself *still* looking for a forever family. Listen, y'all. Cooper is the real.deal. He is pure pittie perfection, and we rarely say that! He is social with others, kennel and potty trained, and equally loves adventure as he does chilling on the couch. He's a GOOD boy and we cannot believe he is still available. πŸ₯Ί

2026 Foster Forward: Why Choose MASBR?

Maybe you're not ready for a 10-15 year commitment and all the life stages of a dog; or maybe your environment just isn't suitable for an adult or senior furbaby. Maybe your resident dogs like the smaller guys or you have children and a large breed dog of unknown background makes you nervous.

Whatever your reason... your reason is valid... and we can work with you on the right age placement for your home. There is NO SHAME in being a "puppy only" foster (or on the opposite end, "senior only") - the shelters have 'em all and we're happy to help when and where we can.

So come on... get your by fostering a wee baby with MAS Bully Rescue! πŸ˜‰

πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ CONGRATS, MARELLA!!!! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

Schoooooools OUT. FOR. SUMMMERRRR! And you know what's better than school being out? A summer full of puppy love, DUH! πŸ₯° We are THRILLED for this sweet placement for Marella, now named Lucy. Her mom and dad, Michelle and Todd, applied to adopt, falling in love with Lucy's sweet little face and darling demeanor. But they knew it would be up to their resident dog Elvis on whether a new puppy could join the home. The family drove in ahead of time to do a special meet and greet between Lucy and Elvis, and it went even better than anyone imagined. They eagerly drove home that night to begin puppy proofing and preparing their lives for a new (fur)baby, and drove in later that week to formally adopt her! Lucy is living life LARGE now that she's home with her forever family... and we couldn't be happier! This sweet girl is so loved already - not that that surprises ANY of us, because... how could you NOT love her!? Congratulations, sweet Lucy girl - you are HOME, babydoll!

πŸ₯°πŸ₯° CONGRATS, LUCIA!!!!! πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

Whoever said dogs are a MAN'S best friend has never met a die-hard rescue woman! πŸ˜† Because let us tell YOU... Lucia has very quickly wiggled her way into mom Leslie's home and heart. 🩷 Lucia joins Dillyn, a senior female Boxer mix, in Leslie's home... which is super special because it means Lucia will get the opportunity to learn boundaries and manners from Dillyn, in Dillyn's golden years. It's hard to explain, but watching your senior dog "teach" your new furbaby "all the [right] ways" is so special - and, oftentimes, new, younger additions can bring a senior pet "alive" again - instilling excitement and energy. It's just really, really special. What a privilege it is to love a dog... and, even more, to love a dog who learns from your beloved older dog, too? We pray for many, many years of love and happiness for Lucia and Dillyn; and a lifetime of laughter and memories for Lucia and Leslie. Congratulations, ladies, and welcome to our Family!

Maybe you're a social butterfly who likes to be out and about and has the capacity to take a social, well-behaved dog with you...

Did you know that dogs who leave the shelter setting - even for a *just* a few hours - for an outing in public are *5 times* more likely to be adopted?? And dogs who go to foster homes - even if only for a weekend or short stint - are *14 TIMES* more likely to be adopted than their sheltered peers! More community visibility (even on things as simple as walking around the neighborhood) and in-person interactions leads to more potential adopters and applicant interest!

2026 Foster Forward: Why Choose MASBR?

Did you know that MAS Bully Rescue covers all vetting expenses for the foster animals in our program? Whether that's a healthy puppy who needs vaccines and prevention, hospice senior needing comfort and palliative care, or seriously injured or ill adult... we never ask our foster families to absorb the cost of care. We are fortunate to have donors, fundraisers, events, and program revenue that support these ongoing medical bills. So maybe you're holding out on adopting a dog because you know you can't responsibly afford it... this might be the right avenue for you!

Livia is off to her forever home, with dad Jamar and mom Jennifer! When we first posted Livia and her littermates as available for adoption, Jamar and Jennifer *knew* they wanted to adopt; they HAD to have one of these beautiful, happy babies! So... they applied for every single one, ready to discuss them with us to ensure the right puppy was matched to their home! πŸ˜† We absolutely fell IN LOVE with this couple and couldn't wait to approve them to adopt! And... there *may* have been tears (happy tears!) from all of us (literally) when we called to approve them. πŸ₯Ή While tears aren't necessary to adopt (lol πŸ˜‰), there's something super special that - truly and honestly - warms our hearts when applicants cry with joy when approved. I think it's because we know where our rescue's dogs come from... unwanted, discarded, and oftentimes slated for euthanasia... only to become a beloved family member; a furbaby worth shedding (happy) tears over. That may sound silly to some, but to our team it will *always* bring warmth and love. 🩷 Congratulations, Livia - you are SO loved... seriously! πŸ₯Ή

β€οΈπŸ§‘πŸ’›Happy Pride Month! πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’œ

Did you know that there are still rescues out there who discriminate based on race, ethnicity, creed, religion, and sexual orientation? Yep. There are. In fact, we see it openly on social media regularly.

When we reincorporated in 2022 and spent time and resources on our new website build, we wanted to make sure inclusivity was in our language. It's not an agenda, and it means a lot of things: from the single mom or the trucker always on the road; the young apartment dweller or the church pastor; to the orthodox Jew or the gay couple next door...

Because we believe when there's love, patience, and kindness, there's a way to save lives and make a difference in this world.

It starts with acceptance.
Happy Pride to those who celebrate, support, or simply acknowledge from MAS Bully Rescue: all "shades" are welcome, here.

Did you know that quality pictures are linked with dogs finding homes? We know that sounds super simple - but that's because IT IS! Studies actually find that dogs with quality portraits are 65% more likely to find a home (or receive adoption interest) within the first 14 days in a shelter... compared to an average length of stay of 43 days (or longer) for dogs with quick "intake pics" only.

But quality photos is not a task we can place on shelter partners. Between all the daily activities and animal-caretaking shelter staff are bogged down with, oftentimes the only photo available of an adoptable dog is the intake picture captured to document an animal's entrance into the facility. These photos tend to be blurry, fuzzy, and dark/dimly lit... not to mention if the animal is sick or scared.

Maybe you're not a master photographer... but we can almost guarantee that your quick cell phone snapshots and video reels will capture your foster's beauty and essence and help them find a forever placement faster than their initial pic.

πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ CONGRATS, JOLENE!!!! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

Jolene.... Joleene....JOLENE... JOOOOLEEEENEEE! Ya, ya, you know how the song goes... except this one ends in "a forever home, she goes!" Sort of. Because... she was already home with her foster family, the Gowers! πŸ˜† The Gower Family joined our foster roster earlier this spring to help with female puppies. They successfully made it through their first foster dog - Rio - without adopting, but quickly fell in love with Jolene. After discussing it, they decided not to adopt - despite how much they loved her, they also had a lot going on and just didn't think it was the right time to adopt. Well... flash forward two weeks... and now the WHOLE family is attached and, well, she simply just isn't allowed to leave (and that's ok with us!). We are SUPER excited to formalize this adoption... I mean, come on... look at all the happy faces!! She was clearly home, all along. πŸ₯° Congratulations, Jolene - you are SO loved, babygirl... and we couldn't be happier that you're home, for good. πŸŽ‰
