January 8th, 2018 Eat’ N Together started its missions to become a standalone restaurant that would create a welcoming and inviting space that provides an opportunity for all people to come to enjoy a healthy wholesome meal. Eat’n Together is a 501c3 non-profit organization that will be focused on fighting food insecurities throughout Glynn county. This means that people can:

● Pay the suggested

price of the meal
● Pay more/pay for someone else’s meal
● Pay a little bit less
● Pay by volunteering with the café
● One World Everybody Eats Model: 80%
of individuals paying the suggested price
or more coupled with 20% of individuals
paying less or volunteering is the model.
● Staff earns a living wage and receives
health insurance. This model of a “Pay-what-you-can” restaurant has been growing nationwide and now has over 60 other location throughout the US. Eat’N together is working to be among more than 60 “pay what you can” restaurants in the global One World Everybody Eats(www.oneworldeverybodyeats.org) network. Denise Cerreta, founder of the One World Everybody Eats model, recently won the James Beard Foundation Humanitarian Award of the Year. Some of our inspirations and developments come from other successful restaurants such as, A Place at the Table in Raleigh North Carolina (https://www.facebook.com/table.raleigh), One Acre Café (https://www.facebook.com/OneAcreCafe), and JBJ Soul Kitchen (https://jbjsoulkitchen.org/)

January 8th, 2018 Eat’ N Together started its missions to become a standalone restaurant that would create a welcoming and inviting space that provides an opportunity for all people to come and experience conversation and community while enjoying an excellent, affordable, and healthy meal. People long for a community, a place to fit in, a place to feel welcome, and a place to be a part of something bigger than just them. No one should worry about hunger in this day and age. From the newly single moms and dads, to the students that are on meal programs, to those that are having a hard time in life and are trying to get back on their feet again.

1. Sense of Community:
People are separated in society by various factors
including economics, beliefs, backgrounds, and
lack of places where we are all admitted and
welcome. Finding a place to feel comfortable is a
basic human need.

2. Food Insecurity:
Food insecurity is the status of being without
reliable access to a sufficient quantity of
affordable, nutritious food. 1 in 7 people in Glynn County
are food insecure. This means that on a
given day, approximately 12,600 people either
have no money for food or choose to pay for some
other necessity. As of 2019: 14.1% of Glynn County faces food insecurity
36% above other Nutrition Program threshold of 185% poverty
15%between 130%-185% poverty
49% below SNAP threshold of 130% poverty

Through the experience of public safety, one constant common issue that links all of us together is hunger. Together, we as a community can support each other with a simple meal. Together we will bring a reliable source to Glynn County that gives us the opportunity to give back. Together, with your support, we have feed 500 families within Glynn County . Our next step is to build Eat' N Together as a brick and mortar restaurant to feed hundreds of people daily. Every dollar will goes towards opening our doors and allow us to bring you a delicious coastal southern meal, great coffee and a delish cinnamon roll to start your day. By supporting this cause today, you will be able to say that you battled food insecurity in Glynn County! All support is welcome. Enrich. Encourage. Thank you for your support

Project: Eat’n Together

Project: Eat’n Together is about creating a pay-what-you-can Southern Coastal Café in Brunswick, Ga under the guidelines of One World Everyone Eats.

Our current goals are to reach a non-profit status and develop the model for our Café. Eat’n Together wants to do its part to help combat the food insecurities in our community. Together with everyone at the table, we hope to accomplish three fundamental goals.

Eat with the community as equals
