The River Cities Singletrack Serpents came across a potential new mascot for our races on the trails last night. Coach Steve blindly rode right by it but coach Adam spotted the potential new team talent. What’s everyone think? Should we bring it along with us to the Cacapon race?

It was an amazing weekend at the West Virginia Interscholastic Cycling League Battle at Big Bear race. The River Cities Singletrack Serpents had a blast on and off the trails. The Big Bear race is always special because we love the rugged terrain!

The Serpent student athletes did great this weekend, leading the team to an overall 7th place finish!

It was a beautiful and sunny weekend for the River Cities Singletrack Serpents first race of the 2024 West Virginia Interscholastic Cycling League season. The athletes and coaches had a blast on and off the dialed in race course.

All the serpent student athletes showed amazing progress from last season and we even had a first time NICA racer show some true grit!

Congratulations to our very own Serpent and GRiT Ambassador Estella Styer! Taking on new challenges and sports with an eagerness to learn and improve and be the best teammate she can! We’re proud of you Estella! Way to be “Fangs Out!”

This week’s Student Athlete of the Week is Sophomore Estella Styer! Estella has shown what hard work can truly do. She has dropped major time in the swim world over the past month. She has bested her PR by 7 seconds this week! Dropping that much time in such a short period of time is amazing! This hard work has turned this young athlete into a good team leader! Way to go, Estella!

The 2023 “Merry”-Etta Christmas Parade was this past Saturday night and some Serpents and parents took the opportunity to light the bikes up and spread some MTB cheer! It was a chilly night and a long parade but the kids had a blast! Thanks Julie for organizing! FANGS OUT! 🎄🐍✌️
