On this historic day, November 10, 2025, we honor 250 years of unwavering service, sacrifice, and excellence as the United States Marine Corps celebrates its remarkable milestone birthday. From that fateful gathering at Tun Tavern in Philadelphia in 1775 to battlefields across the globe, Marines have embodied their sacred motto "Semper Fidelis"—Always Faithful—standing as our nation's first responders in times of crisis and guardians of our freedom in every generation. Through two and a half centuries of defending American values and interests, the Marine Corps has forged a legacy defined by honor, courage, and commitment, producing warriors whose dedication to duty and devotion to their fellow Marines has inspired countless Americans. Today, we salute not only the Continental Marines who answered our fledgling nation's call, but every Marine who has worn the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor—those who came home, those who gave their last full measure, and those who continue to stand the watch, ensuring that for the next 250 years, America remains the land of the free because of the brave.
