Denstock

Website Contact the organization

DENSTOCK is a memorial concert/fundraiser honoring Denis Downing and raising money for underprivileged children's music education.

Denis always helped younger musicians find the perfect instruments and music teachers. He provided many with a space to rehearse their music when he owned Roxy Studios in Long Island City. The hope is to continue his generosity and impact on young musicians even after his passing. Denstock will hopefully become an annual event to continue to raise money for the next generation of musicians and to honor the incredible Denis Downing.

Your donations helped us donate music equipment to a girls home in Dominican Republic. We sent speakers, microphones, and accessories to help grow their chorus and give the girls a party! They now are able to do karaoke, dance, and sing. A lot of the girls are passionate about choir and performing and can now learn more and expand on their talents.
This foundation is called Illuminated Angels Haven. They save young girls in DR from poverty, abusive situations, abandonment and difficult circumstances. They provide hope, love and protection as well as a safe place for the girls to stay.
We are proud to partner with them and donate to give these girls some fun and show them they are loved!
I had the honor of FaceTiming with some of the girls, they were teaching me some Spanish words and trying to learn English. They are funny and sweet and deserve love and kindness! Thanks to all of you they feel special and can engage in the dancing and singing activities they love so much.
Give them a follow and support Illuminated Angels Haven 💖💖💖
