👩‍🍳Baking, bonding and belonging 🤍

At our girls siblings group, the girls came together for a sweet and memorable baking class where they made and decorated their own mini cakes! 🍰

At times a sibling of a child with special needs can feel overlooked. CARE therefore arranges girls sibling groups, a chance for them to shine and connect with peers who truly understand their experiences!! 💖💖

The girls had a great time and we are looking forward to the next!

🥗🌮Mom’s Lunch At Fuji Hana

This week, CARE hosted our annual Moms Lunch, a beautiful and heartwarming afternoon dedicated to the incredible mothers who give so much of themselves every single day!! Held at the event was filled with delicious Asian cuisine and a beautiful time! Our moms had the opportunity to step away from their busy routines, unwind, and enjoy meaningful time with fellow mothers who genuinely understand the unique journey of raising a child with special needs. ☀️

The room was filled with connection as moms caught up with one another and spent quality time with their CARE Advisors, sharing updates and ensuring they continue to receive the support they need. The event concluded with speaker, Mrs. Esther Tawachi, whose powerful words of chizuk and encouragement touched every heart in the room.

It was truly a memorable afternoon filled with love and support for our amazing CARE moms!

Tuesday was a day dedicated to giving back in the community. 🤝CARE was privileged to be selected as one of the organizations highlighted, giving students the opportunity to learn about the impact we have on children with special needs and their families!

The girls packed activity bags for CARE volunteers to deliver to children with special needs. It was truly inspring day to show the real impact CARE does for our community! 💖
Lauren Ashkenazie, a counselor at CARE CLUB, spoke and shared a heartfelt message about how even the smallest acts of kindness can change a life. She spoke about a camper who was unable to walk at the start of the summer and how, through daily encouragement and support, took step after step until she was walking independently by summer’s end! Lauren’s powerful story deeply moved and inspired the students, helping them understand the profound impact of caring for others. 💖

On Tuesday, CARE was honored to partner with for their annual Eddie’s Day of Chesed, a day dedicated to giving back in the community. 🤝CARE was privileged to be selected as one of the organizations highlighted, giving students the opportunity to learn about the impact we have on children with special needs and their families!

A special thank you to Ikey and Leon for putting your heart and soul into making each group the most memorable for each and every boy! The boys grew in so many ways and learnt so many new social and emotional techniques all while having the best time!! Wishing everyone the most amazing and safe summer ahead! ☀️

CARE volunteers show up to their home with a birthday bag of cupcakes, balloons, gifts and more! 🎁 🎈 🧁

Nothing like the energy at our Thursday nights social groups for young CARE boys. All the fun and excitement gives the boys a chance to develop healthy interactions, and make new friends all in a safe and supportive space. At our weekly Friday meeting, our founder, Meyer Safdieh shared a story that truly moved everyone. Last week while driving, he noticed one of our CARE moms greeting her child with special needs off the bus. Even with nurses and aides surrounding the child, the mother was still right there helping her wheelchair-bound child off the bus with the biggest smile and warmest hug. He even tried waving to the mom, but she was so focused on her child with pure joy that nothing else around her seemed to matter.
Meyer then revealed that this incredible mother was none other than our very own Rachel, Senior CARE Advisor! 💗This moment perfectly reflects who Rachel is - someone who dedicates her life to helping children with special needs and their families, both at CARE and at home. Rachel’s heart and devotion remind us all of the love behind everything we do.

Boys Group Roundup 💫 Our older boys social group has been busy enjoying so many fun activities and events that are exciting and create meaningful opportunities for them to interact socially with similar peers. They build friendships, and even hang out after the programs!
Each activity is thoughtfully tailored to support sensory and motor skills while making every child feel included and engaged.
Our boys truly love and look forward to their weekly group time together, and we are proud to be part of bringing them together!
