“A view from nowhere “ I originally met at the open mic hosted by she came in later that evening and started jamming with some musicians she’d never met. I immediately was inspired and impressed by her talent. I asked her to play at anniversary event to do a live workshop. She chose to play on and when she started playing I had to remind myself not to cry. 5 months later her parts have transformed my music and added layers of dynamics and inspiration at every strum. A view from nowhere is no exception, Carolyn viscerally hears the message and is able to pull out things I’ve only heard in my heart without ever rehearsing. This is the point of the encypher & friends shows to see where the music can guide us from the silent parts of our soul connected in music. I’m grateful to have met her and share the stage and continue to learn from her talent. Come visit the open mic on Thursdays and get more of a glimpse of her multi talent in person. This recording was from a women in music event hosted by who has also introduced me to a wonderful music community that I am fortunate to be a part of. Reparable hearts through the arts there is light after the dark. Isolation silences us while community heals.
