CHILDREN TO LEAD PRAYERS FOR NIGERIA AS CCC OKE IBUKUN CENTRAL PARISH HOLDS JUVENILE HARVEST

Celestial Church of Christ, Oke Ibukun Central Parish, District B Headquarters, Ere Province, Ogun State has released an emotional open letter to the public ahead of its 2026 Juvenile Harvest, declaring that this year’s celebration will go beyond festivity and become a solemn prayer gathering for the peace and healing of Nigeria.

In the letter signed by the Host Shepherd, Prophet Dotun Adisa, the Parish explained that the current state of insecurity, violence, kidnapping, and the continuous loss of innocent lives across the nation has made it necessary for children to rise spiritually and intercede before God on behalf of the country.

Quoting Psalm 8:2, “Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength,” the church emphasized the spiritual importance of children in God’s divine agenda, noting that their innocent voices can provoke mercy, restoration, and peace upon the land.

According to the statement, the Juvenile Harvest scheduled for Sunday, 7th June 2026, will feature children taking major responsibilities during the worship service as they pray passionately for Nigeria, its leaders, families, and communities.

The Parish further encouraged members of the public to attend the service and unite in prayers for national healing and divine intervention, stressing that the nation needs God now more than ever before.

Referencing 2 Chronicles 7:14, the church reminded Nigerians of the power of humility and prayer:

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray… then will I hear from heaven, and will heal their land.”

The open letter reflects the growing concern among religious bodies over the security challenges facing the nation, while also showcasing the role of Celestial Church of Christ in promoting spiritual unity, hope, and intercession for the country.

As many parishes across the world prepare for the annual Juvenile Harvest celebration, CCC Oke Ibukun Central Parish, Ogun State has chosen to dedicate this sacred moment to praying for peace, protection, and restoration across Nigeria.

Dear beloved Nigerians,

DON'T VOTE FOR YOUR OPPRESSORS AND EXPECT MIRACLES!

Stop deceiving yourselves, praying against insecurities, banditary and kidnappers terrorizing your land won't solve the problem. You cannot elect bad leaders and expect miracles through prayers. Get your PVC and be ready to vote out every unresponsive Government across the local, State and National levels.

If all we need to fix Nigeria is prayers, then, our Country should be competing with China 🇨🇳, USA 🇺🇸, Germany 🇩🇪, Canada 🇨🇦, South Korea 🇰🇷, Taiwan 🇹🇼, Denmark 🇩🇰, Switzerland 🇨🇭 etc.

Do not sell your votes to your oppressors and start marathon prayer revivals, midnight prayer sessions, open crusade and false predictions in the name of spiritual revelation. God will not 1answer such prayers. If you allow any spiritual father to influence your decision, you will suffer in the long-term.

Prayers alone will not solve any of our problems, actions will. Proverbs 29:2 "When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan." It's sure that our people are groaning at this moment in time due to wickedness of our leaders in Government. God will not come down to vote for a change in Government, we all have the responsibilities to do so.

The bible says in Job 11:18 "And you will feel secure, because there is hope; you will look around and take your rest in security." Under the presidency of APC Government since 2015 till date, no Christian in Nigeria feel secure, either in the North, East, South or West of the Country. There is no hope of ending banditary, herdsmen terror and abduction in the land. Our Government themselves has no rest in the security of the nation due to many internal and external factors which the APC government cannot explain themselves and are not politically committed to end.

A country where nobody is safe, either rich or poor, Muslims or Christians, Northerners or Southerners. For instance, take a look at the following victims amongst Thousand of undocumented and unreported cases;

1) May 15, 2026: The abducted students and teachers in Oyo State, Nigeria, remain in captivity following a coordinated raid by armed gunmen. On May 15, 2026, bandits on motorcycles targeted three schools simultaneously—including Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele, and Yawota Baptist schools—in the Oriire Local Government Area of southwestern Nigeria. Official reports state that 39 pupils (7 secondary students and 18 primary pupils) and 7 teachers were taken, though local community leaders place the total number of missing individuals as high as 46, which tragically includes a two-year-old toddler

2) May 15, 2026, suspected Boko Haram militants abducted 42 schoolchildren, including toddlers, from M***a (Askira-Uba LGA) in Borno State. The attack occurred during classes across Government Day Secondary School, M***a Central Primary School, and State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Secondary School.

3) Retired Major General Rabe Abubakar, a former military spokesperson for Nigeria, and his wife were abducted by armed men in Katsina State on Saturday, May 30, 2026, we hope he will be rescued.

4) In November 14, 2025; Brigadier General Musa Uba (also identified as Muhammed Uba), the Commander of the Nigerian Army's 25 Task Force Brigade, was ambushed, captured, and subsequently executed by Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in Borno State.

5) Brigadier General Mahrazu Tsiga (Retired): Abducted in early 2024 from Tsiga village, Bakori Local Government Area, Katsina State. He was released after 56 days in a bandit forest camp.

6) Major General Richard Duru (Retired): Abducted in Imo State. In August 2024, Nigerian Army troops successfully tracked down and arrested four suspects tied to his kidnapping syndicate.

7) Lieutenant Bola Ogunrinde: A serving female officer kidnapped in April 2024 while driving near the Ijebu-Ode-Ibadan road in Oyo State.

8) Mr Abba Anas,, a former member of the House of Representatives from Jigawa State, died on Monday May 11th 2026 while being held by bandits, who kidnapped him Wednesday 6th of May 2026 along the Kaduna-Abuja highway.

9) Suspected bandits abducted eight people, including close relatives of the Sokoto State Deputy Governor, Dr. Idris Muhammad Gobir, in Garin Idi village, Sabon Birni Local Government Area. The armed gang raided the community, looting local shops before fleeing into the surrounding forests with the victims.

10) The raid occurred overnight on April 30, 2026. Eight people (three men and five women) were kidnapped, including relatives and extended family members of Deputy Governor Gobir at Garin Idi village, an ancestral community in the Sabon Birni of Sokoto State.

11) Ekiti State (April 2026): Gunmen invaded the Christ Apostolic Church in Eda Oniyo Ekiti during a night vigil. The attackers tragically shot and killed the presiding pastor and abducted multiple worshippers, including toddlers.

12) Kaduna / Niger States (January 2026): Three pastors (Idi Buhari, Emmanuel Jacob, and Suleiman Adamu) were ambushed and abducted by armed bandits while traveling to a wedding ceremony. They were successfully rescued weeks later following a coordinated operation by the Department of State Services (DSS).

13) Kogi State (December 2025): Terrorists attacked an early morning service at a Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Ejiba, successfully abducting the pastor, his wife, and several congregants.

14) In February 2026, three pregnant women were among 18 worshippers violently abducted by gunmen during a midnight service at the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Jordan Parish in Uso, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, Nigeria.

15) On June 1, 2026, Ayegunle–Bunu Road in the Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State. A major mass kidnapping occurred in Kogi State, Nigeria, where armed bandits blocked a highway and abducted more than 30 people. They intercepted a HOWO truck and two Toyota commercial buses. Casualties & Abductions: The attackers killed one resident, injured five others, and initially fled into the forest with over 30 captives, including passengers and two local community residents, before some of them were being rescued.

If Nigeria can happen to many of the categories of people listed above, where few were lucky to tell their stories and many not alive to give testimony for their survival, it means we are all in it together.

Do you think this Government will act to protect the citizens? We all are vulnerable right now..

We all have the responsibilities to educate our congregation, mobilize them to get their electorate power, and force the change we all desire in the Government. Get your PVC and VOTE 🗳 THEM ALL OUT!

Stop wasting your time praying, prayers alone wouldn't do nothing.

* We don't need prayers to make education affordable to the poor,
* We don't need prayers to make Healthcare accessible, affordable, available and appropriately located in short distance to everyone.
* We don't need prayers to fix our roads
* We don't need prayers to provide 24/7 electricity
* We don't need prayers to reduce poverty
* We don't need prayers to create employment
* We don't need prayers to end insecurities
* We don't need prayers to provide water supply
* We don't need prayers to reduce our mortality rate in the Country.
* We don't need prayers to reduce fuel price
* We dont need prayers to reduce inflation

We need Government that is sensitive, responsive and responsible enough to provide every policies and interventions that can address our challenges.

PRESS RELEASE

Celestial Church of Christ
Juvenile Harvest 2026

A Call to Preserve Godly Heritage and Sanctity of the Children’s Ministry

Date: May 29, 2026

The Office of the Coordinator General, Taskforce South-South/South-East Region, hereby announces the forthcoming Juvenile Harvest Celebration of the Celestial Church of Christ scheduled to hold on Sunday, June 7th, 2026, across all Parishes of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide i.e (within the South-South and South-East Regions of Nigeria.)

The Juvenile Harvest is a sacred and highly significant celebration dedicated to honoring, encouraging, and showcasing the spiritual growth, godly heritage, and divine potential of the children in the Celestial Church of Christ. It is a day specially set aside for the children to fully officiate church activities under proper spiritual guidance and supervision.

This holy occasion is meant to nurture the children in righteousness, discipline, humility, and the fear of God while allowing them to actively participate in the work of God from an early age.

However, it has come to the notice of the Regional Taskforce that some Parishes and parents have continued the unacceptable practice of dressing children in adult garments, girdles, and unauthorized spiritual ranks or regalia during Juvenile Harvest celebrations.

The Taskforce wishes to clearly state that this practice is improper, spiritually unhealthy, and completely against the true purpose and sanctity of the Juvenile Harvest.

Children are to be celebrated as children and guided according to their age, innocence, and spiritual development. The imposition of adult appearances, ranks, or spiritual identities on minors is strongly condemned and will no longer be tolerated within the South-South and South-East Regions.

Therefore, all Shepherds, Parish Leaders, parents, workers, and members are hereby directed to strictly comply with the following:

1. No child should wear girdles or any adult spiritual garment.
2. No child should be adorned with unauthorized adult ranks or titles.
3. All Juvenile Harvest activities must reflect modesty, godliness, discipline, and true Celestial heritage.
4. Parish leadership must ensure proper supervision and compliance throughout the celebration.

The Taskforce will closely monitor activities across Parishes, and any Parish found violating these directives shall face appropriate disciplinary measures in accordance with church regulations.

We urge all members to cooperate fully in preserving the sanctity, dignity, and spiritual purpose of the Juvenile Harvest.

Let us raise children who truly reflect Christ in character, conduct, and spiritual upbringing.

May God bless the Celestial Church of Christ worldwide.

Signed:
Officer Femi Eromosele Gabriel Obinyan
Coordinator General, Taskforce
South-South/South-East Region
