Yep... We really need foster homes. 😬

In addition to our earlier plea for Wizard and Stapleton, four more dogs need somewhere to land...

Sanderson + Gypsy were both adopted from MARS as puppies and are now coming back to us through no fault of their own. Turns out the teenage-dog stage can be a lot. 😅 They each need a foster home while we help them find what comes next.

Yuki also needs a new foster home now.

Miller just needs a vacation foster beginning tomorrow through the weekend.

Can you help one of these four? MARS provides the supplies and support. You provide the safe place to land. 💙

Please message us if you can help. Or email [email protected]

Some details in the screenshot have been redacted to protect the family’s privacy.

3pm update:

We have secured a foster that will take BOTH BOYS!!!!(At least for the weekend)

We feel at this time that they need to stay together at least for a few more days, they are very confused and we want to make sure that we do right by them.

Thank you to everyone that has offered to help, we will update you on Tuesday

This is now critical!! We need to move them TODAY! Their person cannot even stand in his own due to pain and the only thing he is worried about are his dogs and their safety! PLEASE, PLEASE help us help him and MARS dogs!

URGENT: Wizard & Stapleton need foster homes now.

Their person is facing a devastating medical crisis, and both dogs need somewhere safe to land immediately.

Wizard is a Husky. Stapleton is a Beagle/Shepherd mix. Their website profiles aren’t live yet, but we couldn’t wait to start asking for help.

Can you foster one of them? MARS provides the supplies and support. 💙

Home for the Holidays: Meet Fen 💙

Fen has been with MARS a long time.

He was adopted, returned, and moved from foster home to foster home before finally landing with Alice, who has stood by his side and helped him feel safe, understood, and loved.

Fen is a goofy, affectionate guy who loves other dogs and just needs a little time to decide that new people are safe. Once he trusts you, he’s a cuddle bug with a silly side and a whole lot of love to give.

A few things to know about Fen:

- House trained and crate trained
- Walks well on leash
- Loves other dogs outside of his home. He'd prefer to live alone
- Can live with a dog-savvy cat
- Shy at first, but very affectionate once comfortable
- Has worked with a MARS trainer, with continued support available after adoption

What Fen needs most is not perfection. He needs the right person. A home where he can relax, build trust, and be part of everyday life.

As part of Home for the Holidays, Fen’s adoption fee is currently waived to the right home.

And if you’d like to help him in another way, we would love to find a donor to sponsor Fen’s adoption fee. 💙

Home for the Holidays starts today. 💙

Some MARS dogs and cats have been waiting longer than others to find the right fit. And because finding the right home can take time, we’re starting early.

Through Home for the Holidays, we’ll be giving these pets a little extra attention over the coming months and helping more people get to know them. Some participating pets may have their adoption fee waived by MARS or sponsored by a community supporter.

This isn’t about rushing an adoption or finding just any home.

It’s about giving great pets more opportunities to be seen, giving adopters time to find the right match, and hopefully helping a few more MARS pets settle into homes of their own before the holidays arrive.
