Last week was Entrepreneurship week at The Upton Program. During these sessions, the participants learn what entrepreneurship is and what it isn’t. Then they are given the opportunity to simulate creating a business and pitching it to investors — all while keeping within budget, of course!

Week 8 introduced the parents to Career Readiness! Parents discovered why career readiness is important and took bold steps into reaching out and asking for support from community members as they build their personal Board of Directors. We are looking forward to learning more about what they are passionate about in order to access a career that will help achieve their financial goals.

Week 7 marks the midpoint of Cohort 2! Over the past 7 weeks, parent participants have worked hard to create a personal finance plan and we're thrilled to see them taking action to make it happen. Next up — Career Readiness!

In Week 6 of The Upton Program, participants gained insight into credit, separating fact from fiction, and took stock of their own credit situation. Community panelists brought unique stories and expertise, providing valuable takeaways for parents looking to establish a solid credit foundation.

Week 6 also featured the most precious donated Spring treat for the kiddos ☺️
