Sense of Humanity and .afg have delivered help to 80 families on July 1st, 2022. The beneficiaries were families that suffered as a result of the 5.9 magnitude earthquake that struck eastern Afghanistan on June 22.

It has been extremely difficult time in Afghanistan given the political turmoil and droughts. Sense of Humanity aimed to help the most vulnerable populations in the country. This includes women-led households in a time when women are very restricted. These are some stories of women from a rural area in northern Afghanistan.

We want to thank everyone for their contributions to our winter fundraiser. We exceeded our goal and were able to continue providing support to families throughout the month of Ramadan as well. In total, we were able to help around 200 families which is about 1,400 individuals, including children. This wouldn’t be possible without your support.

We continue to provide food, hygiene products and blankets to families in need in Afghanistan. We have recently provided help to about 20 more families. We have also allocated funds to the families affected by the earthquake in Ghor and will provide updates soon. Thank you for your continuous support. Afghanistan really needs it now more than ever.

Afghanistan is facing a humanitarian crisis of unimaginable proportion this winter. Many families, including little children, are facing a very real threat of starvation. Please help us provide food, hygiene products and blankets to people in need in Kabul and Balkh. Thanks to a very kind and generous donor who agreed to cover the cost of transportation and GoFundMe fees, 100% of the donations will go to families in need.
