We are excited to welcome Sydney Fricke to our formation team as High School and Young Adult Minister. She will collaborate with Claire Stoiber on ministering to our teens and young adults.
Meet Sydney!
My name is Sydney Fricke, and I am originally from Manitowoc, Wisconsin. I spent much of my childhood in the Milwaukee area visiting family. I attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, where I competed in cross country and track while earning a degree in business with an emphasis in economics and marketing.
During my freshman year, a mission trip to Chicago became a turning point in my life. It was there that I profoundly encountered Christ through the sacraments and through serving the poor. With the support and formation of FOCUS missionaries at the UW Oshkosh Newman Center, my faith deepened, and I began to embrace my call as a disciple. Throughout college, I participated in international mission trips, attended annual SEEK conferences, and led Bible studies with my teammates, sharing the Gospel within the athletic community.
In my senior year, I said yes to serving as a FOCUS missionary. I was sent to the University of Toledo, where I spent two years ministering to college athletes. Those years stretched and formed me, deepening my relationship with Jesus and strengthening my zeal for evangelization and spiritual formation.
I have a heart for mission and firmly believe that once someone encounters the truth, beauty, and goodness of the Gospel, they can’t help but share it with others. I am grateful for this opportunity to serve at Saint Dominic Catholic Parish and look forward to what the Lord will accomplish through this ministry.
