Prayers for family, friends, and follow officers of Hayden. Such a tragic loss.

Today, we face one of the most difficult moments an agency can endure as we announce the loss of one of our own. Trooper Hayden Phillips, Unit 369, made the ultimate sacrifice while
patrolling I-65 in Warren County. He was assigned to Post 3 Bowling Green and was a graduate of Cadet Class 103. His dedication to duty and commitment to the commonwealth will not
be forgotten.
Our hearts break for Trooper Phillips’ family, loved ones, and fellow troopers as we grieve this tremendous loss. We will carry his memory with us, honor the life he lived and the badge he wore, and stand together as an agency to support this family in the days ahead.

Run Report 9-17-2026 Paged to a one vehicle MVC in the 1400 block of 790. Unit provided Patient care, set up a Landing Zone for KY3 , road clean up, and traffic control. Thanks to KY3 for excepting flight, Pulaski Co EMS, Pulaski County Sheriff Office, and always Pulaski County 911 Dispatch for behind scenes work. All units do a great job and we are grateful for the teamwork put in by all on scene .

🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ YOU MADE TODAY ONE FOR THE RECORD BOOKS! 🏆💙

To every runner who crossed the starting line, every volunteer who showed up before sunrise, and every first responder and community partner who helped along the course: thank you.

Because of you, the 2026 Lake Cumberland Half Marathon & 10K was a special one. Tanner Carson set a new 10K course record with a time of 34:26.68, and we celebrated the largest 10K field in the history of our race! 🎉

We were also honored to welcome 22 Too Many runners to this year’s race, running in memory of fallen heroes and raising awareness for veteran su***de. 🇺🇸 Every mile carried a name, and we are grateful they chose the Lake Cumberland Half Marathon & 10K as part of their mission to remember and honor those who are never forgotten.

But today was about more than records and finish times. Every mile you ran, every hour you volunteered, and every bit of support you gave helps Habitat for Humanity of Pulaski County, KY continue building homes, communities, and hope right here in Pulaski County.

🏃‍♂️🚨 ROAD CLOSURE: LAKE CUMBERLAND HALF MARATHON & 10K 🚨🏃‍♀️

The Lake Cumberland Half Marathon & 10K is coming to the Somerset area this Saturday, September 12th, 2026, and motorists should be prepared for road closures and traffic delays along the race route.

📅 Saturday, September 12th
⏰ Road closures begin around 7:30 AM and are expected to continue until approximately noon.

🏁 The race will begin in Bronston, KY, traveling north on KY 1247 toward Somerset. The route will continue to the intersection of the 914 Bypass and into the City of Somerset, then travel along various downtown streets before finishing on Monticello Street at Somerset Community College.

🚧 Numerous intersections and roadways along the race route will be affected. Motorists should plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and expect delays.

💙 We ask everyone to please be patient, plan ahead, and help us keep our runners safe!
