This Friday we will be holding an outreach at with professional stylists who will be giving free haircuts from 11am until 2pm! We will be serving hot food, giving away Bibles, and praying with people! Pastor Jon will also be offering long term help such as ID’s, Birth Certificates, employment opportunities, etc! If you’re currently facing homelessness on Tulsa’s streets, we’d love to see you and serve you, because Jesus gives hopetulsa.com

We participated in interactive activities, shared our stories, and discovered valuable resources. 🏃‍♂️ Tulsa Flat Volunteer Opportunity - Saturday, April 5th
📍 Location: 787 E 56th Street North, Tulsa, OK 74126

We need volunteers to help cover different shifts between 6 AM and 4 PM. You don't have to commit to the entire day! Pick a time slot that works best for you.

Volunteer Roles & Shifts:
• Set-up crew (6 AM - 8 AM)

Setting up tents, tables, signage
Organizing registration area
Setting up water stations
• Event support (8 AM - 3 PM)

Registration/check-in
Water station support
Course marshals
Aid station support
Photography/social media
• Tear-down crew (3 PM - 4 PM)

Packing up equipment
Clean-up
Loading supplies
What to Bring/Wear:
• Comfortable clothes appropriate for weather
• Closed-toe shoes
• Water bottle
• Hat/sunscreen
• Positive attitude! 😊

As long as we have coverage throughout the event hours, we can be flexible with your schedule. Every hour of help makes a difference!

Tonight was deeply moving as we gathered with incredible women veterans at the first Lady Vets Unite meeting. The courage shown in sharing personal stories of service, sacrifice, and resilience touched everyone's hearts. As stories of military experiences and trauma were bravely shared, we witnessed the powerful beginning of a healing journey - together.

Thank you to every woman veteran who trusted it to be a safe place to share their story tonight. Your strength inspires everyone, and your willingness to connect and support one another is what true healing looks like. This is just the beginning of something beautiful. I know I am still not able to tell my story without emotions pouring from my face. But as I spoke tonight, I would feel all of your strength surrounding me so I could finish the mission. You are not just my fellow warriors- you are my chosen family. And in this family, no one walks alone.

The raw honesty and strength in that room was palpable as stories flowed about navigating the complex journey from service to civilian life. Each woman's experience unique yet connected by a shared understanding that this path wasn't one we were prepared for.

What began as a discussion transformed into a powerful circle of support, understanding, and hope. These women - our sisters in arms - proved that while nobody may have taught us how to be veterans, together we're writing that chapter now.

To every woman veteran who shared their story today - your courage lights the way for others. This is just the beginning of our Lady Vets Unite journey, and we're honored to walk this path with you.

Special thanks to Coffee Bunker for creating this safe space where our women veterans can find understanding, support, and hope.
