Shibui ni Animal Rescue and Sanctuary This is the page for Shibui ni Animal Rescue and Sanctuary. I had a passion for dogs from the womb. My sanctuary is Shibui ni, and my name is Tere.

In today's world, as more and more people see dogs as "throw-away," there is an unlimited need for rescue and safe homes. When people do not spay or neuter their pets, there is an exponential growth in the number of strays, being malnourished, hit by cars, attacked by other animals, diseased, etc. Providing a lifetime safe space for those strayed and feral animals on their last legs is what I do.

I couldn't be more worried. I just love her so much. Lakshmi has been on Diflucan for a virus that causes fungal ulcers since she has been here. I'm convinced that is what has destroyed her kidneys and her immune system. I don't know if things would be better if I'd let her keep the virus active. She was fat and happy at 55 lbs, and now she is 40. She won't eat any kd dry or canned regardless of how I fix it or try to trick her. She won't eat egg whites or sweet potatoes or rice. Besides twice boiled chicken, those are the only options. She wants the chicken all the time, but hours later will throw it up seemingly without digestion having even started. She is on an anti nausea drug, an antibiotic, and two others. Today, a lump has appeared on her neck, and she seems to be going blind. This is breaking me. I don't know what else to do. She is so sweet for her fluid infusions every single time. Is there anything anyone can think of? Have any of you dealt with this? She is so special and only five years old. Please.

My sweet baby girl is at the vet for a chemistry recheck. No change. Also no weight gain. Exactly the same as when we were here last week after drugs, three days of IV fluids, and her very special diet. How can that be no change! I was hoping and praying for God results. This is heart breaking. He is adding more pills and I will be doing IV daily now. 😢
