Dear students, Do you love drawing and Chinese culture? Join the 2026 Wei-Chuan Art Contest and create artwork showing how Chinese culture is part of your life—maybe through food, holidays, family traditions, or fun community events! Share your creativity, win prizes, and let your art tell your story.

Show your artistic talent, and you could win cash prizes in the 2026 Wei-Chuan Children’s Drawing Competition! Winners in each age group can receive up to $350, along with medals, framed certificates, and special recognition. Additional awards include Second Place ($250), Third Place ($180), Fourth Place ($120), Honorable Mention prizes ($60), and Rising Star Awards, so there are many chances to be recognized for your creativity and hard work!

Hi DLI Families!

We currently have 15 Mandarin-speaking exchange students who are excited to come to the U.S. and are looking for host families! Hosting can be a wonderful opportunity for your family to practice Chinese naturally at home while building lifelong international friendships.

Families can share preferences such as whether they would like to host a boy or girl, a student of a certain age, religion, or students with similar hobbies and interests. We’ll do our best to help find a great match for your family.

Please come, it is open to the public and starts at 6 p.m. at the BEHS auditorium at 380 S 600 W in Brigham City. There will be free raffle prizes for the audience sponsored by Ocean Mart in Ogden!

The first song of our live singing portion of the program is 如果可以 and is performed by a club alum who is now continuing her studies in Chinese at Utah State University.

Next, we will post photos of the Kung Fu dance performed by ACYI students. If anyone has a video of their performance, please let me know so I can share it here!

The exciting opening act of our students performing the dragon dance!

First, a behind the scenes view showing all of the different people supporting the event! Teachers, students, store staff, and families worked to prepare for the event while everyone who came to watch the performance patiently waited. Our dragon is so large when assembled that it has to be assembled and disassembled for every performance and our students are great at working together to do it quickly even though it requires skill and attention to keep the electronics safe for the lighting!
