Club members, please join us on Tuesday, October 20th at 3 p.m. to make Bing Tanghulu! We will meet in room V 12 at BEHS.

Everyone who is a student at ACYI, BEMS, or BEHS is welcome to join Chinese Club.

Tanghulu is a traditional fruit snack dipped in sugar syrup for a sweet candy layer, pictured are hawthorn berries which are the traditional fruit used in the confection, but many fruits are suitable for making this Chinese dessert, which is also seasonally associated with cooler weather. Come to our activity to try it out and learn more!

Thank you to everyone who helped and supported our Peach Days float! We recognize that we could not have accomplished this without the work and support of students, parents, teachers & school staff, families, and community member support. Brigham City and the greater Box Elder County truly is a special place to live.

This year’s Peach Days theme was Americana, so we paid homage to the pivotal history of the transcontinental railroad that was completed in our home county in 1869 thanks to the labor of many workers, including many people born in China and children of Chinese immigrants. Just as those workers showed up to help us achieve something great over 150 years ago, our program and club aim to prepare our students to be cultural bridge builders and ambassadors in their lives and your support helps our efforts extend outside of the classroom with activities and events like being part of our hometown festival celebration.

Hi DLI Families!

We currently have 15 Mandarin-speaking exchange students who are excited to come to the U.S. and are looking for host families! Hosting can be a wonderful opportunity for your family to practice Chinese naturally at home while building lifelong international friendships.

Families can share preferences such as whether they would like to host a boy or girl, a student of a certain age, religion, or students with similar hobbies and interests. We’ll do our best to help find a great match for your family.

If you know anyone who may be interested in hosting and would like to make a Greenheart Exchange account to view detailed student profiles, please feel free to share the following contact information with them!
