Virtual Fundraiser for Swim With a Mission
Hello!
Swim With a Mission is hosting a virtual competition to raise money for our veterans! They have set up teams of Navy SEALS to raise money to help the non-profit charity each SEAL Team cares about.
Equine Immersion Programs and Ladd Farm, llc, are teamed up with some old friends and a new guy, hence our Team's name: "2 Old Ducks and a New Guy". Equine Immersion Programs change and save lives of Veterans—through the Healing Power of Horses.
The Healing Power of Horses rings in my ears every time I think of the veterans who have been participated in Equine Immersion Programs at Ladd Farm. I am truly humbled to be a part of these Programs. We have witnessed profound changes in veterans. Warren had served two combat tours with intense fighting in Vietnam between 1968-1972. He was shot multiple times and received the Purple Heart. Warren quietly stated, “I have been looking for a way back for decades. I finally found it here.” Many Veterans will arrive at an Equine Immersion Program with guarded hope. At the end of one weekend, Janet said, “I found my smile.”
