Lions Clubs District 16-N We are an organization of 49 Lions Clubs serving the North Jersey area (Bergen, Passaic, Sussex, Hudson, Essex, Morris and Warren Counties).

Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world. Our 1.35 million members - who perform community service in 207 countries and geographic areas - are different in many ways, but share a core belief: community is what we make it.. When you join Lions, you join a global service network. So, at the same time you're doing local community service, you can also contribute to Lions volunteer efforts around the world. Lion Buddy Casillo introduces our guest speaker Dr. Laura Padham Visiting Audiologist LLC, who participates with the New Jersey Hearing Aid Project (NJHAP), providing mobile services to the counties of Atlantic, Bergen, Burlington, Cape May, Camden, Essex, Hudson, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Passaic, Somerset, and Union. The NJHAP is an innovative initiative, launched by the New Jersey Division of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in partnership with Montclair State University, to provide free refurbished hearing aids for individuals that meet program eligibility. This program ensures that hearing aids are equally accessible to low income, New Jersey seniors with hearing loss.

It's World Mental Health Day

Nearly 1 in 7 people live with a mental health condition.

People with lived experience can help transform mental health care at every stage: from designing services to delivering and improving them.
By collaborating and working together, experts with lived experience, and people working in mental health systems, policy, and research can design care that is person-centred, rights-based and rooted in dignity.

Make community-based services stronger, support continuity of care and make every conversation count.

Don't let a child go bedless in your community.

Fun fact: Sleep in Heavenly Peace volunteers across the country have, on average, delivered nearly 250 BEDS A DAY this year. That’s over 71,000 beds in 2026, and counting! 🛏️💨

That kind of hustle just carried us past 400,000 beds delivered since 2012. 🎉 Our volunteers are unstoppable, and we couldn’t be prouder. 💙

As summer rolls around I know many of our clubs are busy with summertime events. Please make an effort to include your activities in the portal and also ask the people you meet to become a Lion. We are an inclusive club and not an exclusive club. More hands leads to more service.
