50 days into the school year and the homework is still homeworking. 😅📚

But our students don’t have to figure it all out alone.

Whether it’s a tricky math problem, a reading assignment, or the question they’ve been staring at for ten minutes, Urban Impact gives students a place to ask for help, work through it, and keep going.

50 days down. Plenty more learning ahead. 🧡

“I am…” can be a powerful place to start. 🧡✨

Learning to recognize your strengths, your gifts, and what makes you uniquely you is an important part of growing into who God created you to be. 🌱

That’s also at the heart of SELF—Social and Emotional Learning and Faith—one of Urban Impact’s newer programs helping young people build confidence, self-awareness, and faith.

Sometimes support looks like simply standing beside someone. 🧡

As a faith-based organization, we believe showing up for young people is one way we live out our call to love, serve, and encourage others. 🙌🏾

Connect Four? More like connect more. 😄

A little friendly competition, a lot of laughs, and one volunteer clearly invested in the outcome.

At Urban Impact, moments like this give students and volunteers time to have fun, build trust, and strengthen relationships. 🧡

Connect Four may be the activity, but connection is the bigger goal.

That pile of papers you’ve been meaning to get rid of? This is your sign. 👀📄

Urban Impact is teaming up with Sound Federal Credit Union for Shred Day on October 14 from 3:30–5:00 PM at their Norwalk office!

Bring your documents to shred, stop by and say hello, and learn more about ways to support Urban Impact through giving or volunteering. 🧡🙌🏽

Clear the clutter and make an impact while you’re at it!

Future engineers? We’ve got those here. 🏗️

Building, balancing, problem-solving, and figuring out what works—one block at a time.

Hands-on activities like this give our students room to think creatively, test their ideas, and keep trying when something doesn’t work the first time.

Sometimes the best learning starts with, “What can I build?” 🧡

If you’re around Urban Impact, you’ll be seeing a lot more of this face. 👋🏽🧡

Meet Lisa, our new Site Supervisor!

From the students coming through the doors to the staff and volunteers helping make each program day happen, Lisa will be right in the middle of the action—helping keep things organized, supported, and moving.

We’re glad to have her on the team. When you see Lisa, make sure you say hello! 🙌🏽✨

Teachers know the space between “I can’t” and “I did it.” 🍎

They see the effort, the progress, and the small breakthroughs others may miss.

On World Teachers’ Day, we’re celebrating the educators who keep showing up, encouraging students, and helping them believe in what they’re capable of. 🧡

The view from week one? Pretty good from here. ☀️🧡

Our first week of Urban Impact programming is officially in the books—and it was filled with familiar faces, new connections, learning, laughter, and plenty of energy.

One week down. A whole year of growing, learning, and making memories ahead. 🙌🏽

What makes a place feel like home? 🏠

Sometimes it’s not the building. It’s the people who show up, the spaces where students feel safe, and the moments that remind them they belong.

At Urban Impact, we want every student to know they have a place where they are welcomed, encouraged, prayed for, and supported as they grow.

Home is more than where you are. It’s where you are known. 🧡
