All ten of the banners for the Remember the Vets Project have been installed! They start just before the Brewster Firehouse in the Village and are spread out as far down as Veterans Park/Electrazone Field.

I’d like to thank the VOB police for helping with traffic throughout the day, and I’d like to thank all of the Scouts and Leaders from Brewster Troop 1 who helped out.

Hello all, Kyle DeSantis again.

I'd like to thank everybody that has donated so far to my Eagle Scout Project. We have raised enough money to purchase the banners themselves and it will be happening in the near future.

Hello all, Kyle DeSantis here.

I am a Life Scout with Brewster Troop 1 working on my Eagle Project with the Brewster VFW Post 672 as the beneficiary. My project honors local veterans by putting up remembrance banners on utility poles throughout my home town of Brewster, New York. Scouts and leaders have been interviewing the honorees or their families and also working with local historians. We are documenting the veterans' military experiences.

Part of my project is to raise enough funds to pay for the project. Each banner costs $50 with hardware. We are installing 20 banners throughout the Village of Brewster. I would greatly appreciate it if you could make a donation to cover some of my costs. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, I cannot do an in-person fundraiser. You can donate by writing a check to Brewster Troop 1 and mail it to Carla Scipioni, 4 South Road, Brewster, NY 10509. Mrs. Scipioni is the Troop Treasurer. This is the first post on this page and we're starting off strong!

Linked is the banner design for the Remember The Vets project. We're still in the process of getting the pictures for each honoree, but the design itself is complete!

There'll be more to come on this page shortly as we are very close to having our first interviews, as well as starting the fundraising for the project.
