Our Fire Department is currently looking for dedicated, community-minded individuals to join our team as volunteer firefighters. No prior experience is necessary—just a willingness to learn, a commitment to serve, and the courage to step up when your neighbors need you most.

This is more than volunteering—it’s service with purpose.

If you’re interested in learning more or ready to take the next step, stop by and see us on Monday night. We’d be proud to have you on our team!

In an emergency, every second matters.

Please help us help you by keeping your driveway and access points clear—especially during snow season.

✔ Make sure your driveway is wide enough for emergency vehicles
✔ Keep snowbanks pushed back
✔ Clear a path to doors and visible house numbers
✔ Avoid parking in a way that blocks access

Fire trucks and emergency vehicles need more space than most people realize. A clear path can make all the difference when responding quickly and safely.

Thank you for doing your part to keep our community safe!

We want to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude to the hardworking crews from Cherryland Electric, Consumers Energy, and the dedicated contractors who have been working tirelessly to restore power in our community.

We’re also incredibly thankful for the strong partnerships we share with our neighboring departments and communities. Through collaboration, communication, and a shared commitment to safety, we’ve been able to respond effectively and support those in need during this time.

These efforts don’t go unnoticed. It takes a team, and we’re proud to stand alongside such committed professionals to help keep our community safe.

Thank you to everyone putting in the long hours—we appreciate you.
