The Diablo Sunrise District of Scouting America serves the Pittsburg, Antioch, Oakley, Bay Point, Bethel Island, Brentwood, Discovery Bay, Byron, Clayton and Concord areas The purpose of the District is to work through Chartered Organizations and Community Groups to organize and support successful Units. 📣 Bring a Friend and Grow Scouting This Weekend!

Sometimes, all it takes is an invitation to help a family discover the fun of Scouting. This weekend, invite a friend, neighbor, or another family to join your unit for an activity and let them experience the friendships, adventures, and community that Scouting has to offer.

🌲 GGAC units and districts, what opportunities do you have coming up? Share your open houses, hikes, service projects, fall activities, and other events where new families are welcome.

📩 Have an upcoming event or recruitment opportunity? Send your flyers and sign-up opportunities to [email protected] so the council can help spread the word.

⭐ Are you ready for a day filled with science, learning, and new experiences?

Berkeley Lab’s 14th annual Nuclear Science Day for Scouts is coming up on December 5, 2026. Scouts in 8th grade and above are invited to spend a full day participating in activities focused on nuclear science.

📅 Date: December 5, 2026
📍 Location: Berkeley Lab

BSA Scouts can meet all the requirements for the Nuclear Science merit badge.

GGAC’s year-end membership campaign is officially underway! From now through December 31st, we're working to welcome new Scouts, encourage membership renewals, and finish the year strong.

Here's how you can help:
- Invite a friend to a Scouting activity.

- Help interested families learn how to join.
