Did you know that EverTrue has a chaplain dedicated to our Affordable Housing Communities?

Rev. Nick Shults was officially installed as the Affordable Housing Chaplain recently. He serves across EverTrue Affordable Housing Communities providing spiritual support, prayer and pastoral care for older adults.

"Affordable Housing is blessed beyond measure to have Nick in this position," said Nikki Jennings, EverTrue Vice President of Affordable Housing. "We are grateful for the heart he has for service and the residents of Affordable Housing."

As a faith-based organization, EverTrue believes in spiritual wellness, in addition to physical and mental wellness. EverTrue is bigger than our residential communities. For 20 years, we've also been supporting older adults choosing to stay in their homes, connecting professional caregivers through EverTrue Anywhere Care to meet the needs of seniors. With various programs and services, including "one of the few certified at-home orthopedic specialists to offer in-home rehabilitation services following surgery or hospital stays," EverTrue offers the expertise to live and age where they decide.

After a life-changing accident, Richard’s world was divided into “before” and “after.” Years of pain and surgeries left him feeling exhausted and ready to give up. Then he found EverTrue PACE.

With coordinated care and compassionate support, Richard found something he hadn’t felt in years: hope. EveryTrue PACE helped him rebuild not just his strength, but his spirit. Thanks to EverTrue PACE, Richard returned to writing music and even joined fellow participants to form a group: The PACEmakers. Today, he celebrates in song the many ways EverTrue continues to support him — mind, body and spirit.

Dr. Karl Wilson, a 2026 recipient of the Ageless Remarkable Award, has devoted his career to visionary leadership, service and advocacy to transform community-based care and advanced innovative approaches to aging, behavioral health and public health.

As the founding president and CEO of Crider Health Center (now a part of Compass Health Network), Dr. Wilson led the care of more than 50,000 children and adults annually in Franklin, Lincoln, St. Charles and Warren counties in Missouri. He retired from Crider in 2012 after 33 years of leadership and direct service as a clinical psychologist.

Dr. Wilson also had a distinguished career as an educator and academic. Through teaching at WashU Medicine for 38 years and authoring numerous scholarly publications, he has helped to shape future mental health professionals, professional practice and public policy. He also advised groups at local, state and national levels in his efforts to strengthen healthcare, as well as strengthen healthcare access, behavioral health systems and community well-being. Dr. Wlson’s leadership was instrumental in the creation of the Senior Fund of St. Louis City, where he continues to ensure that older adults remain at the center of funding decisions. https://ow.ly/Leen50ZC18f

Congratulations to Evelyn Brandt Thomas, a 2026 recipient of the Ageless Remarkable Award for her commitment to advocating for the future of farming through visionary leadership, entrepreneurship, philanthropy and service.

More than 70 years ago, Evelyn and her brother Glen founded Brandt Fertilizer Inc. on their family’s Central Illinois farm and grew it into one of the fastest-growing, family-owned companies in the U.S. Now known as BRANDT, the international company is a leading provider of agronomic services and products helping growers in 81 countries and 48 states.

Through the BRANDT Foundation, Evelyn strengthens communities and future generations by investing in youth organizations and health-related causes. She established the Evelyn Brandt Thomas Ag Innovation Center in Illinois, where she advances and shares state-of-the-art agricultural products, processes and practices. Evelyn also generously supports scholarships at local colleges and EverTrue Concordia Village, where she is a resident. Through the EverTrue Concordia Village Scholarship Program, she helps team members further their education and build long-term stability.
