Tomorrow is Transgender Day of Visibility — a day to celebrate the resilience, joy, and power of transgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive people everywhere.

Visibility saves lives. It tells trans youth they have a future. It reminds our community they are not alone. And it calls all of us — allies included — to do more than just watch.
We stand with the trans community not just today, but in every room, every policy fight, and every conversation that matters.

Jaca and Rachael met in Windsong Cleveland’s Feminist Choir as choir buddies. They are celebrating 3 years together next month!

Jaca and Rachael each have a son and dog from previous relationships. Rachael’s son is off to Otterbein University next year and will be participating in their track and field program.
They love to spread love, joy, kindness… and rainbows! They love to sing and are very supportive of accessibility to the arts and sports in Cleveland! Jaca and Rachael are huge social justice advocates and love to spend time together with close friends and family!

More Love is Love….

Robert and Thomas have been together for 18 years, and married for 9. They both grew up in NE Ohio. Thomas works as a designer and project manager, and Robert works in higher education. Robert also serves as a Cuyahoga County Councilman.

After several years living in Denver, they moved home to Chagrin Falls to raise their daughter, Josephine. They love working on their mid-century modern house, gardening, skiing, and travel, especially Italy.

Gary and Garrett believe in making people feel welcome! They met in 2017 and said it was an instant connection! They got married in Oct of 2019 and have a dog named Bentley.

Gary & Garrett enjoy nature, traveling, Broadway, happy hour & just relaxing at home.

This couple even launched a gay-friendly realtor team and they thrive on matching others with their housing needs!

Ann and Julie met at a le***an pot luck called “Salon” in Sarasota, FL in 1991 and had their Jewish wedding in 1995, US legal wedding in 2008. They moved to Brecksville in 2003 and are active members of BBH Pride. Ann has been to many meetings and offers her help whenever needed; Julie is a critical part of the BBHP Scholarship committee.

They love their rescues: Jesse the dog and Kali the cat. “We love to go to synagogue, concerts, plays, museums and on walks! And we both love time with our friends and making new friends!”

Blake and Cassidy met in 2021 and had an instant connection. They were inseparable and knew it was meant to be! This past October, they celebrated their wedding!

Blake has been an active member of the BBH Pride team and loves helping with support group. “As a trans man, I have felt the weight of the world against me and my friends in the LGBTQ community.” Last year Blake launched his small business In hopes to spread awareness and positivity during these hard times. Cassidy is a full-time nanny and absolutely loves what she does!

Together they share 3 crazy, but adorable cats. They love hunting for beach glass, going to museums and trying new food spots!

Nina and Amy will be married 6 years in May. They moved to Broadview heights in 2021. Although they met on a dating site, they didn’t get together until 8 years later! Together, they have a daughter Molly, who is four years old (and completely adorable). They also have two dogs - Landyn & Skyler and two cats - Finn & Grayson. Nina and Amy both love musical theatre and enjoy singing and dancing, doing shows and volunteer work at Near West Theatre.

Exciting news for them: Amy will be opening a salon in Strongsville this year. Be on the lookout for Restore: A Salon Space coming soon!!

This year Brian and Steve will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of their initial commitment ceremony and their 15th wedding anniversary. They were married in Provincetown, MA in 2011 and moved to Brecksville in 2011. Steve is an active member of the BBH Pride team and helps with many of our committees.

They are grateful to live so close to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park where they ride their bikes in the summer. They also love to host family and friends in the home they share with fur babies Molly, Ginger and Binx.

LOVE IS LOVE 🌈

Continuing our Valentine’s tradition and sharing the love of some of the amazing couples in our community!

Mike and Jon met at the University of Akron in 2012 and were married in 2019. They lived in Broadview Heights from 2015-20121 and now live in Peninsula. They are healthcare heroes, with Mike being a Nurse Practitioner and Jon a Physician’s Assistant, who share a love of travel, coffee, wine, and spending quality time with family and friends.
