Did you know you can make hickory oil? It is usually made from bitternut hickory due to their thin shells and the bitterness doesn’t come out in the oil.
But WI Forager, Sam Thayer was willing to help try it with shellbark using his Kern Kraft 40 oil press. THANK YOU SAM!

The Wisconsin Hickory Association would like to thank member and vice-president Sarah Naparella for her recent presentation to the Green Thumb Garden Club in Fond du Lac. The WHA is scheduling their first meeting for Sat. March 22 from 1 to 3pm. Location to be announced. General public and interested persons are invited.
