A Happy and Healthy New Year to All!

If you're receiving this email, you have purchased a 2026 Legion
Calendar Raffle ticket and provided us with your email to be notified
as to who won each month. Winners are notified via phone call the
morning of the 1st of each month. Only after the winner is contacted
does this email go out.

We will still attempt to send out a text message notification as well,
but email will be our primary communication. ATT and other providers
have discontinued email to text services this summer. Verizon is in
the process of discontinuing as well. Verizon service for this feature
has become somewhat unreliable and delayed at times for lack of
company support. While I had hoped this would work, email seems to be
just fine. The SAL page is another way to see the monthly
winners and stay up on SAL activities.

On behalf of myself, the Brainard Sons of the American Legion (SAL),
and the Brainard Post 273 Legion, we'd like to thank you for your
support and hope you enjoy this year's raffle!

I'd also like to announce that the Legion has approved to continue the
raffle for one more and possibly final year, 2027! The SAL has already
started acquiring premier fi****ms. Tickets will tentatively go on
sale Sept 1st, 2026. We take reservations and it's never too early to
get on the list to get a ticket when they go on sale.

Congratulations to Mike Bruner, Yukon, OK! Mike has the distinguished
privilege of being the January 2026 winner. He is the winner of the
new Browning Over & Under 12 ga Shotgun with a Browning Case. Photo
attached. It's a package worth $3600. The winning ticket #418 was sold
by SAL Charter member and SAL Commander Adam Miller.

A Happy Holidays to All!

This concludes the 2025 Legion Calendar Raffle. On behalf of myself,
the SAL, and the Legion, we'd like to thank you for your support and
hope you have enjoyed this year's raffle!

We will announce the 2026 winner starting January 1st. For those that
purchased 2026 calendars, you will continue to get these email
notifications on the 1st of each month.

I'd also like to announce that the Legion has approved to continue the
raffle for one more year, 2027! The SAL has already started acquiring
fi****ms. Suggestions are welcome and will be considered!
Tickets will tentatively go on sale Sept 1st, 2026.

Congratulations to Clint Bohaty, Bennet, NE! Clint has the
distinguished privilege of being the December 2025 winner with all the
bragging rights this month. He is the winner of the Nickel C**t Single
Action Army, .45 C**t. We're thrilled for you Clint! Thank you for the
generous support of the Legion and SAL! The winning ticket #290 was
sold by SAL Charter member Clint Bohaty. Yes, it's his own brother!
That'll make for interesting holiday meals! Ha!

Members of our Sal chapter added a bunch of insulation to the ceiling in our legion building today. This was the second phase of making the building better for our legion members and the community. First stage was completed a couple months ago replacing the old furnace unit. This was our goal with our calender raffle that we have done the last 2 years was to help our legion members who have fought for our freedom. Thank you too all of you that have purchased calenders from us. More improvements will be done to our legion building as time goes on as well as helping our community.

Our "gold standard list" of squadrons who make membership a priority has nearly doubled this reporting period (ending 10.31.2025). Congratulations to the Sons of The American Legion members at Neligh, Petersburg, Bridgeport, Stromsburg, Brainard, and Friend for your dedication to our organization.

As a reminder, the members of these squadrons are now in the running for $1000 since they achieved 100% membership prior to October 31, 2025. We hope to have the winner of the drawing announced shortly.

For those that missed the deadline, there's another drawing that will take place for those squadrons who reach 100% membership by 12/31/2025. The prize is $250. Reminder that your current membership expires in less than two months!

A Happy November to All,
If you didn't get one, maybe next year!? All 500 of the 2026 calendars are sold out, even faster than last year. Thanks to everyone for the support! I think we're all having fun with this throughout the year and supporting an awesome group! The Veterans at the Post 273 Legion in Brainard, NE are very grateful for the new HVAC system that was recently installed with your help. Don't forget there will be 15 winners in 2026!

Speaking of HVAC, please come join the legionnaires Nov 11th for the pancake dinner after their Veterans Day presentation at East Butler School that afternoon. See SAL page for details.

A Happy October 1st,

2026 calendars sales started Sept 1st. Please contact a SAL member to reserve yours as there are a handful of calendars left as they are selling very fast. I'm guessing we'll be out next week. Don't miss your opportunity to support our veterans and chances at some premier 2a items. A big thank you to all that purchased a 2026 calendar already. Please help us out and show someone that might be interested!

To celebrate the 250th Birthday of the country we will be offering a special calendar with 3 additional prizes. Winners for these prizes will be on Memorial Day (Sig MK25 Navy Seal Pistol), 4th of July (30 gun Fire Safe with special patriotic wrap), and Veterans Day of 2026 (Wi******er M1 from Oct. 1941). Ticket prices will remain the same $125 as last year. There will be an additional 100 tickets sold, for a total of 500 tickets. No worries, with the 3 additional prizes, the odds will be the same to win, just more winners, and even better fi****ms. I hope all will be surprised and delighted by this year's lineup, we worked very hard to acquire and offer these premier fi****ms. Some of these you will likely never see anywhere else.

Thanks again for supporting the Veterans at the Post 273 Legion in Brainard, NE. The funds raised will be used for the new HVAC system.
