For the third year in a row, the Bradley Beach Education Foundation is awarding a scholarship to a graduating high school senior who attended Bradley Beach Elementary School. Each year the foundation through our scholarship committee gets to connect with our high school seniors and see all the accomplishments that they have achieved since leaving BBES. It is no surprise that many of the top students who leave BBES turn out to be top students in high school. The foundation established in the this elementary school translates to success in high school. Over and over again, we hear parents and students say that BBES really prepares them so well for high school.
Tonight we honor another exceptional student, Mia Kostantinou.
Mia graduated from BBES as the class of 2022’s valedictorian! She is a senior at Neptune High School and she will be getting her diploma in June. But not only will she be a high school graduate, Mia is already a college graduate having received a degree in Social Sciences from Brookdale College just a few days ago. She was able to achieve this through Neptune High School’s Poseidon program where she had to take both high school courses and college courses throughout her four years. She had an extremely challenging courseload and I’m happy to say she has a weighted GPA of 99. Because of Mia’s hard work, she will be attending Rutgers in the fall, where she will be able to get her bachelors degree in Communications by the time she is 20!
Many of us also know Mia as the hard-working hostess at Darcy‘s where she always greets you with a smile even though working with the public can be very challenging. She always handles herself with grace and professionalism.
