SMRCA September Meeting Recap – Insurance & Roofing
Thank you to everyone who attended our September Sarasota Manatee Roofing Contractors Association meeting featuring Lori Galindo and Zachary Schumacher with Brown & Brown Insurance.
This was a very spirited and interactive meeting—probably one of the most engaging meetings I have participated in.
We had a tremendous number of questions from our members, which created a great open discussion throughout the evening. Lori and Zach did an excellent job providing insight from the insurance perspective and helping explain why insurance rates and premiums are changing, how different risk types are being evaluated, and what carriers are considering in today’s Florida insurance market.
It was especially valuable to hear how roofing systems, roof age, documentation, repairs, replacement decisions, and overall risk can impact insurance availability and premiums in our current market.
The participation from our members made the meeting a success, and we greatly appreciate Lori and Zach taking the time to answer questions, share their experience, and provide a better understanding of how the roofing and insurance industries continue to intersect.
Thank you again to everyone who attended and participated. We look forward to seeing everyone at next month’s SMRCA meeting!
