Hello all, National Collegiate 4-H conference is a little over a month away!

This year we will be traveling to Morgantown, West Virginia to be in attendance. The conference starts Thursday, March 30 and runs through Sunday, April 2nd, with travel time on each end possible. We are hoping to send a group representing our organization this spring. The following is an outline approximation of the costs to attend this trip.
Registration $150
Flights $400-500 (roundtrip)
Food $100
Continental breakfast is provided at the hotel and dinner is provided every night. This is just a rough estimate for lunch and snacks for the duration of the trip.
Hotels $200 a night
To be split among attendees
The overall Cost will be around $1000-$1200.

As a club, we are looking to help cover some of the expenses if you participate in our upcoming events. However, at this time all expenses are on the individual attending the conference.

Please fill out the google form attached below AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you are interested in attending so we can book flights and hotel rooms. Decisions must be made by March 5th but the sooner the better. We have also attached the conference registration form which has a little more information about the conference.

Dear Collegiate 4Her’s,
We will be having our welcome back meeting on Feb 5th at 6:00 pm in Taylor Hall. We would like to use this meeting to touch on where we left off last semester and bring in new ideas. There will be PIZZA provided. PLEASE RSVP so we can make sure that there is enough for everyone. We will also be having a raffle for a $15 gift card. For every prospective new member that you bring, you will get an extra ticket in your name. We wish you the best of luck this semester!

Greetings Montana Collegiate 4-H,

First and foremost your officer team wanted to send a thank you to all of those that participated in our service project and club meeting at the Fork and Spoon last month. Those that went said it was pretty fun and the fork and spook really appreciated our help. Your participation in these events is crucial and a huge help. With this being our first year these events are very useful for showing the Montana 4-H Foundation as well as MSU what our club is all about and that we are getting out there and doing what we said we would. Additionally, it is fantastic for garnering support from our community and getting our name out there in the Gallatin valley. I encourage you to wear this service proudly on scholarship, job, or any other applications and awards you are applying for. As we navigate and figure this out we are grateful to those that continue to participate and would like to remind you that there are rewards for those who participate the most come to the end of the year.

We, like all of you, are experiencing some of the stress that accompanies the quickly approaching finals week. Keeping that in mind we have elected to push our Dec. 6th meeting back, we want to respect your time and ensure that we are all collectively prioritizing our classes so we can finish out the semester strong. We will be in contact toward the end of the break with meeting info for a welcome-back meeting and social. Please enjoy the well-earned winter break. We wish you happy holidays and are so grateful for your participation and friendship!

Greetings!
Montana Collegiate will be hosting our second meeting Sunday Oct. 2nd from 6-8pm. We will be gathering in the open seating area outside of the rec center in the Strand Union Building at MSU. We will start our meeting by establishing our service project that we discussed at our barbecue. The idea behind this project is to create a few online 4-H project workshops led (recorded) by collegiate 4-H members. These workshops will provide resources to rural youth of Montana to be able to participate in projects that they don’t have leaders for in their area. For this section of our meeting, we wil be establishing a list of a few projects to teach workshops on, as well as making committees for each project. Please bring one of two things: a) an idea for a project that you feel you could teach or aid in teaching, or b) a list of interests or general skills (good at recording, strong public speaker, good poster maker, etc.) that can be put to use on one of these projects. We will have everyone join a committee for one project that they want to help out on and we can get the ball rolling on that service project. At 7pm we will shift gears and head to the rec center for Collegiate 4-H sponsored bowling! Popcorn and soda will be provide. We are so excited to get to know you all better and hear your ideas on how we can serve the 4-H community of Montana.
